Excellent hot food, steak pie was beautiful , vegetables cooked perfectly and lovely chips. Fabulous crumble and custard, sticky toffee pudding with extra sauce was delicious

Brooks is not cheap, but the food is excellent, a great variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. An added bonus, in view of the fact that my companion suffers from Coeliac disease, was the great variety of gluten free dishes. The atmospher was nice, the service excellent. All in all, it was a good night out. This was my second visit. I am very much inclined to make a third and a fourth....

Had the early bird offer and the food was very tasty. The price is very reasonable and the prawn starter was excellent. The 2 girls that served our table were very friendly and worked hard. Will defiantly make this a regular occasion.

Excellent meal at Brooks in Ilkley. Food was beautifully cooked and presented. Good choices for vegetarians. The dessert (watalappan) was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Now I want to try everything on the menu! Highly recommend.

Had a lovely meal, with family. Not first time we’ve visited. Excellent service and excellent food. From personal preference, I wasn’t keen on the house wine. I’ve had a lot worse. I didn’t ask about the Greek wines on offer so that could make a vast difference. We have had really good Greek wines in Greece. The atmosphere is very relaxing and love Greek music. Can’t wait for an authentic Greek night - count us in…….

Great food

My family have been coming to The Aegean at both locations for a number of years. We love the authentic Greek food and the atmosphere. However our experience last night has had a huge impact on how we view the restaurant and service. We were out celebrating my mum and dads 46th wedding anniversary, made more special by the fact that my Dad very rarely goes out these days due to being wheelchair bound due to the effects of his chemotherapy. We were a large table of 7 and had three courses. Everything was fine until later in the meal when service dwindled, we felt almost ignored by staff as the restaurant started to empty. We were ready to order taxis and thought we would order one last drink to have whilst we waited. It took a while to get the waitresses attention as she was chatting to a lady that we assume had something to do with the restaurant. We asked for two drinks and she went to the bar to get them. We were then hollered at by the man behind the bar that they were closed. It was around 830pm and our table was at 6pm. The website was advertiseing the restaurant as being open until 10pm. The tone was abrupt and came across rude, the bill was then given and we paid our £204 bill. After spending so much money in the restaurant, it was not very accommodating to not give two drinks and then it could have been communicated that they were closing. We then proceeded to have to sit for the same length of time 10/15 minutes without a drink whilst the taxis came. So the restaurant lost out on another round and we didn’t get our night cap. My mum was really upset by how the night ended and how we were made to feel an inconvenience for still being there after spending so much money and trying to celebrate a special occasion. It’s massively tainted our view of this restaurant that we’ve always considered family friendly with good service at its centre

Amazing food from a family farm. Really helpful and attentive staff and fast service despite being a busy Sunday afternoon. 100% recommend.

Terrible!! Greasy menus and generally dirty. If that been the worst of it … ordered a soft drink, sushi and starters … they had none of what we ordered at 1.00 pm. Would not go back!!

We love this place, its our dogs treat to go the beach most weekends and our treat to go for a meal afterwards, we've never had a bad meal and the service is amazing, they work so hard.

We went to Sambuca for the first time last night - and it certainly won’t be the last . The food was delicious (with generous portion sizes ), tasted fresh and was served piping hot. We opted for the early bird special which was exceptional value for money, and had a nice bottle of wine too. Staff were friendly and efficient and food arrived quickly. I can thoroughly recommend everything about Sambuca!

This is our 2nd visit here. We took my parents, who have lived in Scarborough for nearly 20 years but were unaware of The Cow Shed, for their 1st time here. We all agreed on one word to describe our experience.....Brilliant!

Everything was delicious and delivered to the table in good time. The host was lovely. Prices more than reasonable. Can't fault the place.
