Hopper Lane Hotel – OtleyWe have known Dino for many years from when he had a restaurant in Sheffield. We decided to make the journey and visit his new restaurant in Doncaster for Jons birthday, WELL WORTH THE VISIT. I am happy that Dino has taken his fantastic chief with him, so food was as lovely as ever. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, lovely decorated, very clean and a very warm welcome.Well done Dino and we will be back
Trattoria Toscana – DoncasterI have now been to the Wheatsheaf many times at lunchtime, but mainly in the evening and can honestly say the menu is wonderful, the specials are a must and we continue to go back with new friends and family to show them this little gem of a find to dine out. The staff are always very friendly and attentive - nothing is too much trouble. The portions are very substantial - in fact I have never tried a dessert due to this fact - although my husband has sampled many - all meet with his high approval. My only negative comment is that it is a victim of its own success and you really must book in order to guarantee you will get a table - so we do that every time and have never been disappointed.

The Raggalds – BradfordBooking made for 7.45, Saturday evening 21st April. We were seated in an out of the way back room with very little atmosphere. Menu was very limited. Quality of food was fine, but rather too pretentious and 'nouvelle cuisine' -type portion sizes. Food was expensive for what was served. Side orders of £3 to add on top of what was quite a pricey main course. Trying hard to be upmarket, not really value for money. Girls serving on were very pleasant and obliging. Don't think we'd go back- too many other restaurants offer good quality food...with much better portion sizes.
Black Horse Inn at Clifton – BrighouseWe went to Zucchini's on Sunday 15th April and after a long day driving from Aberdeen to dewsbury we needed something to eat . Zucchini restaurant was chosen by our local hoste and boy was it worthy . Sirloin cooked to perfection , brilliant service, fantastic atmosphere and being Scottish didn't have to pay [RESULT] . I've read some really grumpy reviews that refer to beer swilling cool box carrying groups of people and rowdiness, well! how do most people let their hair down after a stressful working week? those of you critics that want a fine dining intimate experience, stay at home with your pipe n slipper or get on line n look for a place more suited to your needs. Arkaans deserves the five star reviews that many customers have given and I, my family and friends wish Baz and his staff all the best for a successful future and many more years doing what they do fantastically - serving good food at affordable prices and most of all helping everyone have a great time! good on ya Baz, you're a great guy!!!
Arkaan’s – WakefieldWe are frequent visitors to York and find getting a decent meal there difficult. Now we have found Tassili our problem has been solved. The food is delicious, extremely rich and very filling. It is also very well cooked and presented. The decor is authentically Islamic with contemporary features. The service was efficient and friendly and our four year old was very well catered for. The staff were happy to prepare simpler versions of the menu which she enjoyed eating. By the way, you may like to sample the mint tea, which is even better as an accompaniment than wine. It was made with rose water, was extremely refreshing and had a complex and satisfying taste.
