this is one of the best restaurants in Halifax. the menu is extensive and they usually have lots of early bird offers. The wines are fantastic value and very reasonably priced. as for the meals, the portions are large, very reasonably priced and always use fantastic local ingredients. The ambiance and decor is a bit quirky and stylish. The service is fantastic. we go almost every week because we love this place. But book!
Le Metropolitain – HalifaxThe menu is quite limited, but boy does the food make up for it !!!, I had the home made chicken liver pate with caramelised onions for my starter and the chicken parcel for main - both were absolutely beautiful. Everything was fresh and the service was second to none. Highly recommended and we`ll be going back very soon.

Wok 1 Cantonese Restaurants – DoncasterI went for a meal at the Village not to long ago with my consultant,. We had a grate evening with delightful service food and a grate atmosphere. I drove passed the Village every day and did not know that it had such a grand interior, my recommendation is that this excellent restaurant should flaunt its ability of meeting high expectations. I will be returning to dine at the Village with my wife as i believe it is the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening and great service.

Prashad – Bradfordvery disappointing to be honest poor menu and food tasted like it had been cooked and kept warm for most of the day. None of the meals looked like they has been cooked fresh but served by a microwave technician!!
Hare and Hounds, The – MirfieldHad lunch at the Stansfield recently. The food was excellent, and plenty of it, very good value. The food took quite a while to arrive, but it was worth it when it did. I was disappointed that, once our plates had been cleared, no one offered us the dessert menu or coffee. And it's not the warmest venue I've eaten in; despite it being freezing outside, the heating didn't appear to be on, which was a shame. The food warmed us up, but it would have been good not to have been chilly waiting for the food. Will still go back though :)
Stansfield Arms – BradfordPrashad keep on threatening me to serve "MITHEE ROTLI" or "VENVI" every time I visit it. MITHEE ROTLI is a most delicious Gujarati meal served with Kadhi and broken lentil dish, and Prashad serves one that is absolutely delicious. The only hindrance is my wife, who is worried that I will be spoilt by Prashad's cooking. BEWARE the rest of you.

Crowns Pizza and Spices – Keighleywe as a family had my mothers wake there on monday 9 feb we found the staff very unfriendly the food spars and when we went for a drink at 4pm at the bar we were told the bar had closed due to the noise of the children who i may add were 2 4 yr olds with no consultation what so ever...disgusting and very disappointed...

Medici Restaurant – HullVisited this pub on Sat 6th Feb and cannot recommend it highly enough. Such a lovely old fashioned pub with a roaring fire. Ordered a drink and then went straight to our table. Really nice menu, struggled to pick something off menu because I wanted everything. Eventually chose scallops, lamb and orange creme brulee. The food was absolutely delicious and really well presented. Staff were great too. Prices were good for the quality of the food. We will definitely be going back soon.
