My experience at Kendells was quite frankly the best meal out I've had in years. Unpretentious, yet classy, the interior offers a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, which is reinforced by the brilliant staff. I would be prepared to write a glowing review based on the service alone, were it not for the fact that the food I had was simply sublime. The menu is alluringly displayed on an expansive blackboard (all the better for frequent menu changes reflecting the seasonality of ingredients), featuring timeless bistro classics such as french onion soup, duck liver pate, salmon en croute and tarte citron. The dishes themselves may be typical of the bistro style, but the quality of the food was definitely atypical and positively outstanding. On seeing the prices, I was certainly not expecting the superlative calibre of the food. After just one mouthful of the salmon, I was ready to name my first child after the chef. We went for a pre-theatre 3-course set menu, which included a half bottle of wine per head. On arriving (late), our hostess quickly ascertained that we needed to be at the theatre afterwards, and consequently ensured that our courses were served swiftly (without feeling rushed), as well as ordering us a taxi (the restaurant is next door to the Playhouse, but we were going to The Grand). Overall, the experience was one I would love to re-experience, and I would recommend this bistro to anyone and everyone. I wish I lived in Leeds so I could go back whenever I wanted!

We came here for dinner here on Friday evening. Unfortunately, I forgot to book ahead. We found the place heaving with diners. Bobby very kindly said that he would find a table for us if we waited a little while. It had been raining cats and dogs all day. We had told my niece and her husband that Prashad is the best restaurant in Bradford. They both agreed with us. It was the best food they had eaten for a very long time. So thank you, Prashad for your warm hospitality despite the wet weather outside.

well what can i say it's a real joy eating here excellent service and even better food. if you like your Indian food then get your self down there you wont be disappointed,it's ok threw the week but i recommend getting there early on a weekend cos it get busy with the locals..

My wife’s relatives brought us here for dinner. The place was packed and I am not surprised. This place is unique and I suppose a lot of people know about it. I had Sweet Lassi, Bhel Supreme, Chole and Puris. It was just like being in India. Any chance of opening a branch in Texas?

a group of ten of us went from work the restaurant was not busy only two other tables we found the dishes tasting all the same and the service was very slow worst of all we were over charged by ten pounds did not even get an apology and the meat was tough and rubbery will never go back

We visited the Aakash last night, and it was fantastic. The buffet was brilliant however there could have been a few more starters! I think the deared buffet would be better. The salad bar was amazing, friendly staff, very cheap drinking & an amazing atmosphere!! Will be off back soon!

This used to be my favourite restaurant in the whole world. It had a wonderful lady maitre d' who welcomed you as if you were favourite relatives come for Sunday lunch. I haven't been back since the restaurant changed hands and a waiter stood behind my chair pointing out what I was eating. Now, I may be old fashioned but it appears to me that what you are eating should be self-evident. However, I had never seen lamb compressed into a cube and sauces served in shot glasses before. This was some time ago so I don't know if the restaurant has changed hands again. Oh, I do hope so!

Although originally from Mumbai, we are now living in Texas, USA. We are visiting my uncle and aunt in Shipley. He told us that he wanted to take us to the best restaurant in Bradford. He is absolutely right. The Faluda was one of the best I have tasted. The Dahi Puri reminded me of the snacks I used to have on Santa Cruz beach. The Chole and Puri were exquisite! I was told about Kaushy Patel winning all those awards for Best Chef and I am not surprised. Kaushy, please will you come to Texas and teach me your incomparable gift of cooking?

Was staying at the George Hotel and noticed Chilli Lounge almost directly opposite and decided to give it a try, the deco was modern, nice lounge area, great clean restrooms and the food was fabulous, I had the Naga Thakri with a huge garlic nan hanging from the nan 'Tree'. I ended up taking a 'Doggy' bag as the portions are huge too. Will defo come again the next time I visit Huddersfield.

If you want a great Greek night out, you must visit Othello in Halifax. The food is great, atmosphere and music fantastic!! Jack the owner makes each visitor feel special. If I haven't been for a couple of weeks I get withdrawal symptoms! You must try it, you won't be disappointed and will return.

we have been here 3 times although service is abit slow, the food makes up for it. we love it, the best curry house in redcar by far. really really good.

Type of food: Mainly meat/sausage/beef. Some fish dishes. Definitely a no no for vegetarians (limited and poor choice). Pricing: Very expensive compared to other Leeds restaurants Service: Friendly, but not very professional, as usual in the UK.

Ditching the familiar lions, dynasties and spice from the name of your Asian restaurant instantly sets you apart from the crowd. Neither does the tasteful refit of the of the Zetland Street premises (most recently Woody's restaurant) give it away as a restaurant serving Indian and Bangladeshi food. Comfortable high-backed leather chairs and an open and well-lit environment give a more modern feel than that usually associated with curry houses. No flock wallpaper, no stylised paintings or pictures of elephant gods, although the latter omission is an obvious one in a restaurant established by proud Bangladeshis. But once sat down in front of the menu, seasoned curry lovers will regain a comforting sense of the familiar. All favourites are there in the massive selection, as well a few new styles and combinations. The luxuriously large range extends right through to side dishes and breads, and vegetarians will not run out of options until a great number of visits. Indistinguishable, overcooked dishes are Redefining the rule book on how Indian & Bangladeshi restaurants are received too common among curry houses. But on the evidence of a few of dishes alone, Aroma is clearly striving for quality, and easily avoids the curry curse of the bland. five of us went to the Bistro for a birthday celebration. Due the the credit crunch they have recently reduced their prices to £16.99 for a 4 course meal which was extremely good value. There was a huge choice of starters, main courses and desserts with the addition of either soup or sorbet. The food was delicious with large portions. Although the restaurant was very busy the staff were quick and efficient and willingly served us our desserts at the garden tables. We are already planning our next visit.

Very cool establishment. Thoroughly delicious food prepared with much love and skill (chef trained in a top cookery college in France). Friendly atmosphere - cosy and chilled. Brilliant place to have a nice relaxing lunch or unwind after a hard day's work. The bar staff are very very good and professional. Excellent service and proper ale (the way ale should be!)

This place is horrible, unclean toilets, food disgusting, worst Indian i have ever had, Not good!
