This pub was once owned by my great grandfather and i visited there several years back and was in awe. Had great food and ale. Want to come back sometime.

Travellers, The – RotherhamI recommend staying well clear! I went yesterday 10 minutes after they opened and the food was cold. Not wanting to cause a fuss I discretely asked for my plate to be reheated in the microwave. The response I got was shocking, staff were very rude, claimed that I was wrong and the cold food was actually hot!?!? Then asked me leave and never return and still had the cheek to try to charge me! Avoid this place unless you enjoy being shouted at by staff and management or can't get enough of cold Chinese food.
Banana Leaf – MiddlesbroughI would never go to this place again. The waiter is the most miserable person I have ever had the misfortune to meet who carries no personality, manners nor knows how to dress smart, the owner needs to learn how to wash his hands after he empties the trash outside before he starts carrying food to table and handling your naan breads etc. I can only presume that they rely on the student population in that area who's stands may differ from others. I would honestly advise you to go elsewhere.
Akmals Tandoori Bistro – Leeds City CentreMy twin brother booked this for our 40th birthday meal for us and friends, he has recently relocated up to Hull for business and was told that this was one of the best restaurants in the area. I know we come from London and are used to nice restaurants but I cannot warn you enough of the poor service at this place. It was a Sunday night and not busy but still nobody opens doors for you, you are left to your own devices to go to the 'bar' and you have to ferry your drinks to your table yourself…. When ordering £30 bottles of wine I do expect the staff to know if it is a red or a white and also actually deliver it to the table rather than 3 of them standing around chatting and saying its 'self service'. Shocking! We were then led into the restaurant where 3 pub tables had been pushed together in what felt like the entrance. No tables cloths or linen napkins and not enough bread, no butter and they didn't know what balsamic vinegar was?! My prawn starter was from a freezer, the steaks were done perfectly (the only good thing about this experience) but the puddings were also frozen (with pictures on the menu!) and with canned squirty cream. Completely indifferent, insincere service and a bill for £400 for a party of 9 with only 3 bottles of wine. I will be writing to urge them to get better staff who actually care if you have a good evening and not stood gossiping in a corner because a Hull football player is there!
Medici Restaurant – HullBeen a favourite of ours for years, we come from Cottingham but have brought people from all over the world when they visit. Recommended restaurant, food, service, atmosphere all great. Not to be missed. You cant guarantee a time to be fed, but they guarantee they will feed you. Half of the fun is the wait.
Kolize Pizzeria – HullA lovely restaurant! Very pleasant staff and fast, attentive service. I have never been able to fault this restaurant and neither have my family or friends- it is one of those places where I always feel in the mood to go. Try the salt and pepper chicken starter, it is actually amazing- and for main I ALWAYS have chicken on a skewer with any one of the fantastic sauces, beautiful!
Pagoda Cantonese Restaurant – Wakefieldthe food was fantastic and the customer service was faultless but a really relaxed atmosphere and great value a* 10/10
China Palace – BridlingtonI think it was the first week that they opened in the early 80's that I had my first visit to the Raj. I've tried other places in Wakefield but still prefer to come back here time after time. I think I've probably had a try of virtually everything on the menu but, the Onion Bhajis are to die for and the Tandoori Chicken is excellent. Don't take my word for it - go there. They serve superb food at a reasonable price.
Raj Poot India Restaurant – WakefieldFANTASTIC TASTY FOOD!!!
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgeCompliments to the chefs for the fantastic food. The last time I was at this restaurant was roughly about two years ago when it was called Kongs. I/we were absolutely disgusted with the quality of the food which is the reason why I never went back. I only by chance found out it had changed owner through the bradford food guide website plus with good comments on Sugarvine that I decided to give it a try. There is a lot of great dish to choose from. I loved the aromatic duck. Another dish which I believe is spicy tofu was really nice. There's just as much desserts to choose from as well. The sponge cake and the cheese cakes are my favourites. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. All the staff there are very friendly apart from the old-ish woman behind the bar who was so miserable, in fact we thought her face might crack if she had smiled. I think I remembered her from when it was Kongs. The new owner of BC is really nice, a perfect host. The young manager there who alot of people have commented on this site is indeed very nice lad. He made this cool 'geordie special' for a little girl who sat behind us. We all thought it was a nice touch. Now that we've tried this place out, I'm pretty sure we'll be back very soon. Hopefully, when we next come in that the old woman behind the bar can smile (well, learn to) .
BC’s – BradfordKitties has to be the best dining in Hebden. Its one of those gems that you wish youd found earlier and you wish you could visit every week. Intimate - there are @ 6 tables. And from the moment you arrive and are greeted with canapes to the coffee with the petit fours its a taste sensation few restaurants can rival. The menu is varied (although clearly French) and cooked and served with a skill that deserves mention. If loud music and noisy diners helps with your digestion then steer clear. Kitties is a place to linger. Fantastic. You wont find Kitties in the centre of Hebden with the other restaurants. Look for the Co Op and go across the road and there it is. Its worth a visit.
Kitties Restaurant – Hebden BridgeFantastic, the most juicy succulent steak I have ever eaten. Up to the usual high standards of this my favourite steakhouse ever. Don't bother trying anywhere else, if you fancy a good steak which is cooked exactly as you like it then book a table at The Rythre Arms. Friendly atmosphere, good beer and then the best steaks in the world. Talking to the landlord I found out that this place has been in the family for some time, this being the second generation and they pride themselves on using the finest produce. They have certainly got things right here and I cannot wait to go back
The Rythre Arms Steakhouse – TadcasterLovely canalside restaurant. Light and airy and really good Thai food. We took advantage of "early bird" menu which was extensive and included some real delights. (Watch out it advertises including a side dish - when really they just mean rice!) Service was prompt. Flavours just right (with handy "hotness" ratings to guide your choice). Would recommend. At just under £30 for two (without wine) good value
Rim Nam Thai Restaurant – Hebden BridgeThoroughly enjoyed our bar meal on Saturday, although we did have to wait quite a long time to be served with a drink, until my husband went to the bar to pay by debit card. He was asked point blank by a young blonde girl at the bar if he would like to add a tip to his bill. If he had wanted to leave a tip he would have done but the only service we received was placing 2 bar meals on our table. We went to the bar to order the meal ourselves. We often eat out and we could not believe what we were asked. If he had paid in cash would this girl have said this is not enough you have forgotten to add on our tip? Even though we enjoyed the meal we will NOT on principle be visiting again.
Dick Hudsons Country Inn – BradfordGorgeous food, friendly staff, good service. Zac is great, such a likeable chap. Like it so much we've even moved nearer, just across the road.
Balti House – Wakefieldwe had a very nice meal this afternoon at the Prashad. We are from Sheffield and called in on our way back from Salts Mill. Sheffield has very little to offer compared to the authentic menu we sampled today in Bradford. Nice people serving great food! The little shop attached was great too - we took home a few savoury delights for our work lunch tomorrow. we will be back!
Prashad – Bradfordgood food good price taste authentic friendly staff it might not be much to look at but it is a good place to unwind with friends and eat good eastern cuisine i would recommend this restaurant.
India Garden, The – BarnsleyWe have had many, many meals at this superb restaurant often in large, boisterous parties, and the staff could not have been friendlier or the food any better. The food and drinks are excellent quality, there's a really good choice and its all very good value for money. Would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone. The new bar area is really nice too.
