The Cedars – LeicesterFood was very nice, staff were polite and helpful. Been coming here for over 20 years for meals never disappoints.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthWe came on bank holiday Monday. Had to wait 45 minutes to be served, we had 2 1 years old with us so they was getting very impatient and hungry. At this point we had asked 4 times to be served and a nice lad finally came as he had just started his shift. When the food finally arrived one of our party ordered fillet steak with a Stilton sauce we had to send the steak back as it was that chewy he couldn't even cut through it. When it came back they had took his sauce and not bought anymore back so we had to ask again but the wrong g sauce got bought out and no one came back to our table so he had to make do. When we told thr waitress when paying the bill she wasn't listening to a word we said, didn't apologise just kept saying the bill amount. Ive dined here many times before however this bad experience has really put me off.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthMy brother and I went last night, we had the special menu meal 2 rump steak plus bottle of house red for under £20. Very good value and nice food. Please support your local pub/business
The Cedars – LeicesterVery pleasant lunch with friend
The Cedars – LeicesterFirstly the food was delicious although the chips obviously weren't freshly cooked. The greeting could have been at bit warmer although the atmosphere did improve as time went on. We are very glad we were given a table near the window as, looking further into the restaurant, it seemed a bit gloomy - perhaps some better lighting is required.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthBooked a table for six. Arrived on time and shown to table. It was extremely hot in the restaurant, to the point we were literally sweating. One couple asked to turn the radiators off but were informed that it wasn’t possible. They ended up moving and weee still hot. We were informed there was a slight wait for food. We were ok with that expecting just a small delay. We ordered out food about 7.45pm. My son was very disappointed to be told there were no burgers left and my husband informed there was no white wine and mushroom sauce left. After a quick look at the menu my son settled on lamb chops & chips. Whist waiting for food we had to keep attracting the bar staff/waitresses attention to get drinks as they were not very attentive. The food did not arrive until nearly 9.00pm! We did not order starters, only mains. Two of the steaks were chewy and my sons second choice of lamb chops was extremely disappointing. Hardly any meat on the chops and overcooked to the point of being overly chewy. At this point of the evening we were so hungry we just ate it, we’re literally sweating and very thirsty! The whole evening was an extremely disappointing affair,. My son who never says no to pudding did not want to stay and order one for the fear of being told that they had run out of that as well! We have eaten here many times before so we’re really looking forward to being able to celebrate my birthday there. I appreciate they have just opened up for business following lock down but I do feel that those who have prebooked should have been given priority over orders before walk-ins were. We always leave a tip, on this case we did not. I will visit Welham again at some point but not for a little while. Overall a very disappointing experience.
The Old Red Lion – Market HarboroughGreat food and service.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthDisappointed My partner ordered medium steak and was very well done and really chewy only two members of staff and weren't around whilst eating meal they apologised when plates were collected certainly had better meals
The Old Red Lion – Market HarboroughGreat to be back at Cheiko's Oadby again after over 14 months of "shielding". Food, drink and service superb as always. We will be back again very soon!
Cheikhos Restaurant – LeicesterA lovely place, food was lovely but feel that the wine we were given was baron red wine and we paid £15.95 for a £2.99 aldi wine. Will go again no problem but minus the wine
Cheikhos Restaurant – LeicesterWe booked for Sunday lunch Upgraded to VIP ...... what an amazing meal The staff are so lovely friendly and very helpful We will definitely be back
The Lancaster Arms – LeicesterFood and service great. One request please. I understand why the door needed to be open, but our table was in the path of a very cold wind blowing in! Maybe some blankets for the tables in the path of the wind. We got VERY cold. Not a complaint, just a suggestion.
The Cedars – LeicesterHave really missed being able to come for our Steaks but back now on Sat pm for our regular Steaks Can’t beat it have never had a bad meal it’s no more expensive than eating at home - and you don’t have to wash up.
The Man At Arms – LutterworthGreat service, fabulous food and lovely ambiance.
Cheikhos Restaurant – LutterworthGreat meal and good service. The recommendation of Saag rice was superb!
Cafe Mash – LoughboroughFirst outing for a meal as restrictions are eased, service was great as was the meal. Will be visiting again
The Cedars – LeicesterWe visited on May 22nd, the 1st weekend after lockdown. Felt completely at ease, the staff were very much covid compliant. We had our table for an hour and half. Me and my dad had the best steak we have had in a long time, even better that it was a special offer with a bottle of wine. We do visit Man at Arms regularly, and it never disappoints.
