Won't be going back the manager was rude, service was awful with drinks not brought when ordered and having to ask again. Food missed off when food brought to table. 1 meal completely missed and when we made staff aware they asked if she still wanted it. The 2 metre rule wasn't stuck too, to get to our table we had to squeeze by someone sat at another table. This other table was of 2 households another no no. A group of 4 were walking round the pub with no masks on and the staff stood talking to them.

I’m sad to say this was probably the worst service I’ve ever had here. We arrived before 8 and I could only see another 2 or 3 tables max. Food was ok but it was the length of time it took to arrive and we only had a main. It appeared as if there was only one staff member working and we did think that the reason service was slow was because he was doing everything even the cooking but who knows. Maybe it was because it was a slow Thursday night.

We have been visiting this pub for many years ,lunch and evening ,we have always been happy with the service and friendliness of the staff ,and have never had reason to complain about the food ,the fact we keep returning says it all ,particularly at lunch times !

Service and food were amazing. The manager Karl was attentive to every. Food hot, good portion size and nicely presented. Sadly for the cedars it was so quiet.

Early evening meal on Saturday 26th September. Bar staff and waitress were good. Food was ok - we had the 2 rump steaks 'deal'. Not much of an atmosphere , but that's understandable at the moment.

This was a Birthday treat from my Daughter. Unfortunately not. We was seated at our table and left 35 minuets before our drink order was taken this was only after my daughter had to remind them that we was there. The food not what it used to be staff need to take a course on customer services. As for Jake he needs hanger management lessons. This was our have pub for friendly staff good food and a good atmosphere. Not any moor.

Good food, good table service and safe and properly done Covid precautions. The steaks were served quickly and well cooked. Will definitely return.

We went to the Man at Arms on Thursday with our family so 5 of us in total. The steaks were good value but lacked any sort of seasoning. The presentation was below par, the tomato was not cooked at all. Employees were lovely and friendly but I wasn't impressed at all. We wont be returning such a shame.

Ate here Saturday night. Food amazing as always, service however wasn’t great. Tables had empty plates on them. Rolls of foil and old napkins lying about. Food on the floor around our table. Very strict at having to wear a mask but not so strict on the cleanliness and hygiene. It all felt a bit grubby is is very very unusual for here. Probably just having an off night as we all do. Will not put me off coming back as have been coming To this pub for 20 years x.

Have been here twice recently and it is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The food is amazing and such a cosy relaxed atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and always make you feel welcome. I will definitely be going back.

We traveled from Peterborough to eat here for my father in laws 60th birthday on 3/10/20. The food was lovely however the service was absolutely appalling and we won’t be returning. I had booked a table and when we arrived I was told people had already been sat at the reserved table so one was made up for us. After we had finished our mains we waited at least half an hour for the table to be cleared and another half hour before they offered us desert. Once we had finally ordered a waitress came and charged us for the food we hadn’t even eaten yet! Very unprofessional. Staff then came back one by one to tell us that 3 of the 4 deserts we asked for weren’t available. We were happy to have other options but just felt this was very unorganised. When desert came I had ice cream instead of the cream I had asked for and when I asked the waitress to change this she stormed off huffing and puffing. Over all this was an awful experience. Don’t waste your money here!

I had a very enjoyable evening at The Cedars and as always the food and levels of customer service was very good.

We arrived only to be questioned straight away have you got the app!! Luckily I had my phone so managed to download it, we were sent to our table. It felt like we were a inconvenience more than a customer. The app asked for table no. (No table no. to be seen) so took us 10 min to try and find our ‘non existent waiter’ The whole experience felt like we were in a takeaway

Wonderful welcome and outdoor area for eating and drinks Service great and all very safe but still had that personal touch Food on pie night was fab - very generous portions - will definitely return

When we arrived we were greeted with the new instructions of covid 19, we were also told how to order food and drink , ordering was easy and service was very good , we did not have to wait long for our drinks which was great, food arrived between 20-25 minutes and was cooked very good , staff was very polite and we will be back , many thanks

We had a great meal ,I had the braised beef my wife had the sirloin steak both were so tasty and great portions .we used the app and also the manager attended to us with drinks .not as full and atmospheric as might have been because of the pandemic but well worth a visit thanks .

Great safe venue with great food and service!! This was our forth visit to the Lancaster, the previous nights have all been brilliant. I am please to say this visit was equally as good. It is a place where you feel really welcome and above all you feel totally safe. The food is exceptional as agreed by everyone in our foursome. We will be back!

The service was very poor you get you food but then you was waiting 15 to 20 minutes for your side dishes by then the food was cold. You are waiting 20 to 30 minutes for drinks because of no staff I was very disappointed
