This is an outstanding restaurant! the staff are delightful, they will go out of their way to help you in any way they can! the food is priced to an ideal yet affordable budget! never once have i been and I haven't enjoyed the food!! I go quite often.

we planned a special meal at the Panoramic and really researched the Liverpool restaurants before taking the plunge. We know the eating establishments in the city well and Panoramic would have the generous good quality of 60 Hope Street but in a great setting. I ordered a cooked fois gras starter. It was fridge cold at the bottom. The portions are all very small.I broke into a bread roll only to find a hair had been baked into it horror of horrors. I discreetly told the pompous french maitre d' who arrogantly retorted "well, its not one of my hairs"!! He left the roll on the table and half an hour later returned and asked me if I was eating it or not. No apology, no gesture of grace from the restaurant. If you are looking for somewhere special for a plush meal please don't patronise this establishment. The food cannot compare to the consistently good 60 Hope Street or Fraiche in Oxton or even the Bar and Grill on Brunswick Street. It is such a shame that restaurants like Panoramic are rewarded with custom simply on the basis of what you see out of its windows. This is my first restaurant review.I am not in the habit of reporting every poor meal but I am appalled at the idea of any other poor souls spending their hard earned cash and precious time in a restaurant as unworthy and uninterested in the quality of their service and food, as this one.

The food is always exciting and fresh, as that in the Ego restaurant in Heswell. Liverpool has the advantage that we can use public transport and have as much wine as we like with the scrumptious food!

We where booked in the restaurant at 9 0clock did not sit down till 9 30 the waiter took our order at about 9 45 we finally had our starter at 10 15 having said that the food when it came was excellent The tables where very close together causing one of our party being knocked a few times But to us what let this restaurant down was the attitude of two of the staff who where very rude and because of this we will not be returning to this restaurant

I have never wrote a review before for anything, but felt i had no choice after eating here!! Went to this restaurant last night with my partner for my birthday as the reviews looked really good. A couple of people said it was expensive but as it was a special night decided to pay that little bit more for food which was supposed to be 'out of this world'. To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. The King Prawn starters were very bland, and after ordering Foccacia with just olive oil rosemary and salt we were given a tomato based pizza bread instead.. For our main my partner ordered USDA 40 day matured steak, which cost £23.00 and was once again tasteless, under seasoned and chewy. The chips which came with it tasted like frozen ones too.I ordered chicken in breadcrumb with spaghetti and the chicken was very dry and all we could taste in the spaghetti was lots of basil!!! I couldn't eat it, and left half the chicken and all the spaghetti. To top it all off we were charged over £8 service charge and got stung with a £94 bill, which included just one drink each!!! We will definitely not be going to this restaurant again and can't understand why it is one of the top ten Italians in the UK. Completely spoiled our night as we felt we were ripped off, and not even for nice food. If you want a nice Italian in Liverpool please do not go here, we will be going back to our usual San Carlos!

I can confirm everything the other reviewers have said. I first started going there about 30 years ago and the now older lady who was then an exceptionally attractive young lady and who is still in charge, on being asked by me for a list of dim sum very politely but strictly informed me "this no fancy joint". I went on to enjoy the best Chinese food this side of China and Honk Kong. I go there with my family everytime I return to Liverpool and between us there has never even been a hint of dissatisfaction - I think that says it all!

Unlike the abundance of previous bloggers enthusing avidly about the Bistro Pierre experience I am not compelled to wax lyrical about the place. Imbued with quasi-french ambience it may be but sadly the fare was not so appealing. My partner and I were dished up an awfully salty peppercorn sauce over poor quality chicken ; dry and stringy.Undercooked carrots julienne and limp red cabbage. Told the waiter the whole truth, (not his fault but he did ask.) With two half lagers we coughed up £19.50..wont be returning anytime soon.

Great Restaurant to stop at whilst out shopping. Cheap and Cheerful, most main courses are under £10, huge portions, just the trick after being on your feet all day! We had BBQ ribs, delicious, meat fell off the bone, 2 mains of belly pork with fried rice and Pad Thai noodles with chicken, again delicious and good value for price and portion size. Good selection of drinks on offer, very handy for the Cinema. Very quick service, friendly staff. There was a 15 min wait for a table but this is the case anywhere in L1 around 6pm

dined here on Saturday evening, booked table for 9.30pm we arrived on time and the place was bursting at the seams, did not get seated until 10pm we sat patiently waiting for a menu and after 20 minutes finally got someones attention. Starters did not arrive at our table until 10.45, main course 11.20, whilst food was lovely we had pretty much lost our appetite by then, needless to say would not return anytime soon.

Recently came in for a meal with friends was very satisfied with our meals. The food was very enjoyable, but as for the surroundings and the decor it wasn't really much to be desired an thinks this is lowering the standard of the restaurant. Also we felt a little rushed by the waiting staff other than that it was an enjoyable meal.

My family and I went to this fabulous restaurant last week to celebrate my niece's graduation. The food was delicious and the restaurant was relaxing and comfy. Our waiter Simon, was very helpful and made us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend Il Forno to anyone. Can't wait to go back, thanks for an unforgettable evening.
