Yums is excellent value for money, good selection of food . it is very clean and hygienic. Stuff are friendly and attentive. It has an ideal location for the shopper or customers going to the cinema or theatre.

Excellent food, best I've had outside Hong Kong (where I'm from). Has a good range of traditional Chinese food unlike most places that think Chop Suey is foreign (but Jumbo probably serve it aswell, good range).. Recommend for everyone

I read about this place on Sugarvine, I was looking for a nice Italian restaurant to take my boyfriend to on his birthday. I booked for 7 and we were seated on arrival, no waiting around, we order our food and it arrived with 15 mins! I was shocked at the speed of the service. Our waiter was pleasant and didn't bother us too much! The Pizza oven in the form of a head adds to the feel of the place, very atmospheric, the food was good and very reasonably priced, I will be going back soon!

Bistro Pierre what can I say stunning little number great food great price (when we finally got are correct food) but its that cheap you just can not complain. Desserts are homemade which is nice to see and were delightful again (when we got the correct desserts). but its cheap and good. i would and would recommend to anyone it will not empty your wallet.

Super, Marvellous and cheap! Enough said. We cannot say any more. After a long journey from Oxford we found this little place, tired and hungry. The staff immediately made us welcome and no other place matched their friendliness during our stay. We tried other restaurants but always came away disappointed as nothing matched The Monro. I only wish we had one at home.

I have been here numerous times now and it never disappoints!! The food is lovely and the price is very good for the deal that you get with the free wine.

I've visited The Quarter several times and I must admit that I'm a bit of a fan. The food - simple, well prepared pizza and pasta dishes - has always been excellent and the generous portions mean there's no danger of leaving hungry! I'd also recommend the Primitivo wine - not the cheapest on the list but well worth the extra couple of quid. Apart from the lack of wine glasses, for the money spent you can't fault it .

This is a little gem of a restaurant. The food is cheap, portions are very large and best of all it has that freshness that many other Chinese/oriental restaurants lack... I would highly recommend it to anyone for a banquet style meal or a simple quick lunch...remember to book!

We stumbled across this restaurant for the first time this Saturday evening and decided to give it a try. We were greeted quickly at the door, and although they were very busy, we were allocated a comfortable table in the centre of the room. The waitress seemed a little pushed for time when taking our order but considering the amount of people in the restaurant I can understand her difficulty. Every member of staff we spoke to was polite and helpful. As for the food, it arrived swiftly and was thoroughly delicious from starter to desert and very reasonably priced for such good quality. The buzzing atmosphere of the open kitchen and the enthusiasm of the staff all added to an excellent evening and left me looking forward to a return visit. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good quality, tasty, well-presented food with good service.

Kimos is a great place for a quick snack, a long lunch or a nice evening meal. The menu has a range of foods from Falafel and Hummus Sandwiches through to their great Mixed Kebabs or Garlic Pockets - Not one for the Vampires!!!! The prices are very reasonable - a couple can enjoy a delicious slap up meal for under 20 quid. Well worth a look if you're in town.

came here for staff leaving party at lunch last Monday. place was heaving, unsurprising as the lunch deal is 3 courses for £6.95.at this price we were not too sure what to expect. we were amazed at the quality of all the courses and the efficiency of the waitresses. apparently this place has just opened and if my first encounter with Jacques is anything to go by it will be around for many moons to come. great scoff, lovely staff and very affordable. the atmosphere has that French sidewalk cafe feel. well worth a visit.

my husband and i are regulars on the theatre circuit and often eat pre-theatre. we were delighted to have stumbled upon this bistro at the top of harman street, a stone's throw from the Philharmonic Hall. this place is a great find for us. our first visit was on a thursday night just before a show at the Everyman and we had the "pre-theatre offre"-3 courses for £9.95. the dishes were ample portions, delightfully presented and scrummy.the staff were ever attentive and very friendly. the speed of the food being served (which is very important to us theatre goers) was perfect and we didnt have to skip or hurry desserts which is something we have had to do many times before a show, due to slow service. The bistro was extremely busy and so it should be. the constantly changing menu has all tastes covered and the prices are exceptional. we will be back again and again and again.

I've been a regular visitor to this restaurant for about 8 years. Lots of choice for pasta and pizza the one's I've had which is a lot of them have all been very nice. Starters are always nice, the mussels are always great. The fish and ,meat are also very good, the Lamb fillet is one of the best Lamb dishes anywhere. The dessert trolley is hard to ignore even if your full, very good desserts always lots of different choices. I would always recommend this place to anyone as there is so much choice and the food is lovely and not that expensive.

have been going to this restaurant for 3 years on a regular basis and felt the need to write in after our last visit. it was amazing, we were celebrating a friends birthday and there were 22 of us, sometimes in large parties you can expect a slower service or one or two mistakes......not here. everything was as spot on, as good as my many other visits. the food was out of this world, especially the Normandy pork-that calvados sauce is to die for. the waitresses were really nice despite being so busy. the whole vibe is relaxed yet hustly bustly. i heard on the grape vine that it had opened another french bistro on Hardman Street which is equally as good........i'm sure it is but wild horses would not be able to drag me away from Pierre's.

heard about this place from a colleague. in their words,"once you go you cant stop".......how right they were. the evening menu is ever changing and the food is so fresh and tasty, even the free french bread on arrival.the atmosphere matches any parisienne restaurant and has a rusticand "lived in" feel.the french music, delicious food, efficient and friendly staff make for a great night out. i've just booked our 25th wedding anniversary there so as to get my husband hooked on this gallic gem.

how have i not known about this wonderful bistro before now-i could kick myself. discovered it 3 weeks ago and been back 4 times, each time was as good as the first.the daily changing menu holds your interest and so you can never get bored of the food.the food is always beautifully presented and how do they do it at such a reasonable price.the staff are lovely and nothing is too much bother for them.by far my favourite restaurant.

went with some friends for a meal on a Friday night. The setting is fantastic and has been well thought out with added touches of church style candles and alter. The food was good and service great but would not recommend going for a meal on a Friday night if you are looking to have any sort of conversation with anyone other than the person sitting next to you (still had to shout )as the music was far too loud. Couldn? get seats in bar area downstairs either as very busy more like a night club than a restaurant. Would consider going on a quieter night. Seats in the restaurant didn? seem low but were very uncomfortable, seemed to have gone more for style than comfort.
