At last I have found a restaurant in Liverpool which offers quality British Food, which is freshly prepared, tasty and good value for money. I was pleased to see no signs of foodservice rubbish, which tends to be served up in too many establishments these days. I opted for the three course early bird menu, my partner, the A La carte. The Early Bird, was brill value for money, and the restaurant menu also offered a wide range of choices,Steak was the offer of the day, served with 'very peppery' sauce!. What would I have again... The sticky Chocolate pudding, delicious! I will most definately go again and recommend to my friends.

Since the restaurant opened we never went anywhere else to eat. I fully recommend Mei Mei, it is cheaper than other dim sum place. Nice and clean, didn't have to wait too long for a table.

Lovely for a special occasion, great place for people watching. The food was good, very small portions, I had the surf and turf, nicely cooked. at 11pm the staff throw rose petals onto the bar below, Saturday night was packed, we had to wait for our table, but once seated, it was very relaxing. Only bad point, my seat was too low for the table.

Excellent food and very attentive service. The seafood was especially fine, not least the delectable risotto, and the chicken was delicious. The vegetarians in the party were also more than satisfied. Be aware, though, that parties of over six people will be subjected to a severely diminished menu as a matter of company policy.

Superb entertainment on first visit, but it no longer holds the same appeal third time round! This restaurant has to be enjoyed whilst in a big group rather than as a couple due to the nature of the seating. The food is out of this world though, even if it is on the pricey side (I think the price covers the cost of the entertainment). Definitely an experience you have to try.

Plenty to choose from on menu although I opted for the 3 course banquet for people arriving before 9pm for £8.50 and duck & pancakes for an extra £2. Large portions and by the time the main meal arrived I was stuffed however they do let you take away any meals. Overall, an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price.

Went here with a few friends after a recommendation by someone who had tried the business lunch (which seems amazing value - its a miniature banquet almost!) From the pre meal snacks with unique pickles (when have you seen lemon pickle before?) to the starters which consisted of fishcake and seafood soup amongst others, some lovely main courses and rice dishes and a nice dessert rounded off a nice experience!

I spent a wonderful birthday evening meal here. Monro was chosen because of the claims of fresh food because I am not a fan of frozen ready-made pub meals. I was suitably impressed by every course of the meal and the service was with a smile. We also enjoyed a free bottle of wine courtesy of a Sugarvine offer. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

It's simple dishes, nothing out of the ordinary, but deliciously prepared. Wonderful service, (the waiter even taught my friend the different functions on her camera when we asked for a picture) enough staff to get their attention when you want something but all kept busy so they aren't hovering over your meal! Good wine and all rather inexpensive. Highly recommend

Best crispy duck on Merseyside! Yummy! The Yuet Ben's not at all flashy, but it doesn't need to be 'cause the food's fab and if you're lucky you'll get a table overlooking the Chinese arch while the sun sets. A real local's haunt, with a very loyal clientele, which I can understand - there's something strangely (and pleasantly) addictive about this place.

I think this is a really nice South Indian restaurant. I thought it was very authentic. I visited it for their Dosa and was very pleased. The Sambar was very good and lovely and thick. My only slight grouse was that they did not have the authentic coconut chutney that goes with it. However they are very accommodating and said if I ring couple of days beforehand then they will have it ready. Guess you cant really fault them for that then. Also I found the Sambar portion bit small, and they said that they had been throwing Sambar away as most English people did not finish it, but again just mention beforehand and they will provide an extra bowl of Sambar. I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes dosa to visit them.

Zorbas is by far the best Greek restaurant in Liverpool! I have been to many and it is the best food. The service is excellent and the waiters are very friendly. Fantastic food at an average price. I will definitely return! You are still doing a great job haralambos!

From the minute we walked in we were impressed! The decor has to be seen to be believed. Couple of lovely cocktails at the bar before dinner followed by some great food. Great mix of flavours but not straying too far from the favourites! Service was lovely everyone was very nice and atmosphere both in the restaurant and bar was relaxed and yet vibrant at the same time. Will definitely be back for more!

By far the best Italian in Liverpool! I phoned in the daytime to book a table for 9, got there at 8.50pm and table was ready (restaurant was busy so advisable to book - even on a Thursday night!). I wasn? too sure what to go for on the menu so i picked a Penne dish, hoping it would be nice... It was gorgeous!!! and the dessert just as good!!! What surprised me the most was the price, i was expecting it too be a lot more expensive that it was, but hey, I? not complaining! Fantastic, anyone who like Italian and has not tried this place, pick up the phone now and book yourself a table!

We went on a busy Friday evening to take advantage of the Early Bird menu. The food was very nice, although not the quantities I was hoping for. The service was very poor, it was nearly 40 mins between asking for the bill and someone even asking whether we were ok. It was busy, but the staff never apologised for that. Would visit again but on a less busy night and I would try the full menu next time.

If you?e looking for a hearty breakfast you will certainly get it here, the Traditional costs just £1.99 and there is a veggie option too. There are many items on the breakfast menu all well priced. There is an excellent choice of main meals, snacks and sweets which cost a little more. Depending on the time of day you go there will determine how quickly you are served. Breakfast time can be very busy and there never seems to be enough staff to cope.

Popped in on the off chance of getting a table last Saturday, (derby day so town was very busy) and was accommodated immediately. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was superb. Would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant.
