I have eaten here on a regular basis since it opened and have recently noticed that the usually high standards are slipping. Not sure why this is happening, but it is disappointing as it all started so promisingly. There is no doubting its popularity. Its location, ambience, food and prices all add up and have made it one of the culinary hotspots in the city centre. It is just a pity that some staff are not as helpful and efficient as they could be. Also, the management has recently introduced some bizarre policies. For example, you can no longer order an aperitif at the bar without having to pay for it there and then. Another irritation is on recent visits waiters consistently over filling wine glasses and then asking if we want another bottle.

I have been to the PTI quite a few times now and although the decor and ambience are okay the quality of the food is only average. The pickles that you get with poppadoms are very good but I have had Chicken Madras twice and both times it has been very watery and thin. On my last visit I had Chicken Sag Wala and this was pretty bland. The other people I was with all had different meals but you couldnt really tell becaues they were all the same consistency and taste. The rice is nice and they also do large bottles of cobra.

Extremely friendly, great atmosphere, delicious food (try the pork fillet with black pudding and pears AND then the white chocolate baked cheesecake - mmmm!) We'll be back!

Me and my partner went to this restaurant for our anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food was PIPING hot, and the service was great. The only down side was that we would have preferred a table by the wall, instead of in the middle because we felt a bit 'in the way'. Good place though!

Ok, so it was our wedding not just a meal out. But the food was excellent, both for the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet. The portions were more than enough and it was cooked to perfection. The evening buffet was amazing - lovely food, all piping hot and plenty of it. Would recommend it to anyone

Went in for lunch here after reading good reviews. What a pleasant surprise. I don't mind getting greasy curries because it usually means that the food is authentic so I was a bit worried about the food being cooked with water instead of ghee. The food was lovely though. A wide range of dishes that both managed to be delicately spiced and very light. Can? wait to go back!

The taste of real Indian food because I know I am an Indian. At last we found a restaurant in UK which claims to be Indian food but is not Pakistani or Bangladeshi.

What can I say the food here is the best that have ever tasted the Meat samosas and the Seek kebab are truly amazing. The staff are very down to earth and friendly although the place could do with a bit of a makeover as it is slightly dated. The portions are large and it is very cheap probably one of the best-priced restaurants that I have been to. Well worth a try you wont be disappointed

I chose to visit this restaurant on Saturday at lunch time It is the only Indian I know of open at this time. I ate a selection of poppadoms and delicious unusual pickles followed by an equally good dosa then the set lunch - a small portion of chicken, fish and vegetable curries with lentils and spinach, rice and bread. The food was excellent. It was fresh and flavoursome. This restaurant is far removed the standard curry house and is well worth a visit. I will return.
