So Salsa – CrosbyThe Tai Pan is the best Chinese food we have had by far & comes with high recommendation, I have travelled to the far east and the food is the best and all I can say is this place is the most authentic taste in the whole of Europe . . . . superb !!
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreApril 2013. Just visited with my family, food was disgusting, greasy, cold, the rice was under cooked and hard, the vermicelli was cold and under cooked, greasy prawn toast (if you can call it this, as it just tasted of bread soaked in oil. Yuk ) Meat for duck pancakes is pork !!!!! shredded in tiny dust like pieces. desserts were bad, cubes of jelly, ice cream (already in bowls) in freezer, marshmallows cut in half, mashed gateaux, tinned fruit !!!! the only fresh fruit on offer was grapes. Price was cheap, so I suppose you get what you pay for and it is true for this eating place Sorry doesn't deserve to be called a restaurant), we are appalled that food in this place is allowed to be served. We will not ever go here or recommend ever, should you decide to eat Chinese food please consider going to any other place but here. This view is of our opinion.
The Real China – SouthportWhen the appetiser of Spanish olives arrived - covered with sweet chilli dipping sauce!!? - we should have realised this was a sign of things to come, and told the staff we had changed or minds. We didn't, and ordered 2 courses each from the lunch menu. The duck salad was drowned in gloopy hoi sin sause which surely must have been from a jar. The piri piri sauce wasn't at all hot, again clearly from a jar. The skinny fries were not cooked or seasoned nor was the home made coleslaw, which wasn't fresh - more chewy than crunchy. What can only be described as stainless steel dog bowls were provided to place the bones of diabetes inducing sweet but not sticky ribs in.Even though no one in our party ordered a single Italian dish, the waitresses attentively offered cracked black pepper with all dishes which we found both amusing and odd.Despite the terrible food and ill informed chef, service was excellent. If you're the kind of person who thinks olives go with sweet chilli dipping sauce, and you're willing to pay a chef who thinks along the same lines - this is the place for you.
107 Dining Room – Heswallgreat place loved it been about 20 times each time was great food is the best i have had in Liverpool and i have tried a lot of Chinese restaurants . no need to say any more.....
Nine Dragons – AintreeWe have been visiting this restaurant regularly since it opened at the beginning of the year. The food is simply beyond compare - it is fresh, it is healthy, it is delicious, it varies every time we visit, it includes many different cuisines and it is prepared to the highest quality. I imagine this would be a vegetarian's heaven also as the salads and vegetable dishes are superb as well. The staff (from the chefs to the waiters to the owner, Ben) are all extremely polite and helpful and welcoming. You must visit this restaurant - you are denying your taste buds the time of their life if you don't!!
Ocean World Buffet & Bar – SouthportI have now been several times to the Watch Maker in Prescot as today was one of those visits. Unfortunately I will not be going again, time and time again the food served has not been up to standard. Today I order a meal which was not available so I settled for fish and chips etc. I think the fish must have been cooked several days ago as I needed a hammer just to break through the batter. This is not the first time the food has been substandard also the service is very long winded nearly 40 minutes to be served with my meal, the pub was not overly busy with orders and I was not the only one to be kept waiting. One couple went several times to see where their order was (they were in before me). You also wait a long time to be served at the bar (wait are the bar staffs' problems? Do they not want to serve the public (at the end of the day the public pay their wages)?I think this premises needs to be quietly monitored. When it first opened it was brilliant but now it seems to have lost it's shine. I will not be going again for food.
Jd Wetherspoons – PrescotI went a while ago with some friends and thought the food was fantastic...We have booked again for the 21st April with a big group of friends and family so hoping it will be just as fantastic!!
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreHad a wonderful meal yesterday in the fat Italian. I ordered stuffed seabass. It was absolutely delicious, I would love the recipe!
The Fat Italian – CrosbyThis restaurant has been a favourite of ours for years - I'm not sure why we haven't left a review before!Lino's has been run by the same family for many years and has evolved over time and offers truly brilliant food from around the world but focusing on predominantly Mediterranean cuisine.A warm welcome awaited us as always and the opportunity to have an aperitif in the waiting area whilst perusing the menu and listening to the evening's specials. Our order was taken efficiently before we were then shown to our table. The menu is seasonally adjusted and stays fresh as a consequence. Their set lunch is outstanding value for money. We enjoyed great food and wine, served pleasantly and efficiently and the entire party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. An extensive and affordable wine list was on offer as was a generous list of home-made desserts to round off our evening! All in all - brilliantly executed! Thanks. It’s no surprise that this establishment has won the many awards that adorn it’s walls.Lino's is a must when visiting Hoylake - A true hidden treasure!
Linos Restaurant – HoylakeVisited this restaurant on Thursday 29th March they had a few other tables occupied and two waiters serving, after 10 minutes of waiting to be offered a drink, we got up and walked out, during that period no-one was offered a drink or served. Appalling service get your act together otherwise you won't be as successful as the previous restaurant!
Antalya – Mossley HillFood brilliant we felt like we were back in Turkey, good choice , very clean , excellent prices, fresh products, will defo. return. Special thanks to Eddie for looking after us so well. Good luck for the future you deserve to do well
The Sheesh Turkish BBQ Restaurant – St.HelensAlways get a lovely warm welcome at Willows and they do the best cream tea I've had in years. There is always an excellent selection of goodies, including luscious homemade cakes, my favourite peppermint tea and very indulgent hot choc with whipped cream and mini marshmallows. Children catered for with pleasure and don't miss the Craft Cafe on a Monday evening; bring your knitting and join in :) Also went to a 50th birthday here a few weeks ago and couldn't fault the food or the presentation. Highly recommended.
Willow Tea House & Bistro – Heswallthe real china was brilliant, tasty food, really nice staff and a beautiful place to eat with amazing water features to look at, it felt relaxing and welcoming and beats ocean world hands down, would highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food and really good prices, there lunch buffet all you can eat at only £5.95 is great value and its budget price is great considering how nice the food is, i went with my two children and found it spacious and also nice and quiet for the children
The Real China – SouthportExcellent and friendly service! The starter was brill as was the swordfish that I had for my main. I can only describe it as delicious. We intend returning to Maranto's very soon. I will be trying the T-Bone (char-grilled) steak that my friend was eating. Maranto's is full of charm and character.
Maranto’s Restaurant – Aigburthdont go the food is not good the 13 of us went home hungry i dont no where the review come from as the manger was rude i will not be going back
China City – Liverpool City CentreThis must be the worst restaurant on Merseyside. Although billed as an Italian cucina the food is diabolical. The premises is up for Let. The restaurant lacks atmosphere dark brown tables and black cloth covered chairs. The food is not presented well -no base plates just a cereal t bowl for the pasta. The has all the hallmarks of a restaurant in massive decline. Do not waste your money..
hi ste thanks for another great meal in restaurant or takeaway you always come up trumps knowing you for 30 years says alot even when you had the shapla it was great food keep it going
