Dined at San Carlo for the first time last night. The service from the many italian waiters was first class. Food was superb. The only downside was that the tables were very close together. Saying this, I will definitely be making a return visit!

Never Again !

Having eaten at Bistro Jacques before we were quite looking forward to a pre pub quiz meal, however our whole party left extremely deflated after the experience. Myself and one college ordered the chicken stuffed with black pudding which turned up barely cooked. I chanced mine and ate it ,by my college left the whole dish and complained at the end of the meal, only to be told by the waitress there was nothing wrong with it despite the fact it was bright pink - no apology was received ! The starters were minuscule, another colleague had to eat a whole seabass without a fish knife and the final member of our party was also disappointed with the size of the steak. These meals were ordered off the main menu at full price so there was no excuse for the small sized portions. We all agreed after the meal that we would give Bistro Jacques a wide berth after this experience.

The food is Turkish influenced Mediterranean and very reasonably priced. Three of us had different meals and all said they were delicious. The atmosphere was warm and very friendly. You can take your own wine with £2 corkage although they do now have a licence for alcohol. A starter and main was about £12 before a tip. I would recommend this restaurant.

Eton Place Cafe Bistro – Childwall

i have been going to this chippy for 10years as it is my local, they do the best fish and scallops i have ever tasted and there Chinese food is better than most.

Hong Sing restaurant is great!! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Drinks are good, but that doesn't matter when you think about food. Great friendly staff and I adore this all my life!! IT also great for special occasions and parties!

This is by far the best Indian I have ever eaten in! As a complete curry addict I have eaten in restaurants all over the UK and this one cannot be beaten. Thankfully I live reasonably close so I can enjoy it regularly!

went to casa mia west kirby worst meal i have had since 1982 it was that memorable, for all the wrong reasons,i ordered a seafood risotto it wasn't even risotto rice it was pudding rice with a few gnarled rock hard minute prawns and when i complained the owner had the gall to tell me English people don't want proper risotto my partner had an overcooked pasta dish which was in her words unforgettable for the wrong reasons awful food no ambience dont go i did not pay

Went last week for my daughters birthday as she loves Chinese food we were quite disappointed as portions were small and expensive, waiters were not very attentive if a little rude as kept speaking Chinese to each other and then kept staring. The food was OK but not great, have been to better Chinese restaurants before as a result will not be returning.

Have been meaning to call in for a while having driven past every day for a few months. Went last week for restaurant and it was so good we had a takeaway this Saturday! Fantastic service and beautiful food. We will definitely go back, a very welcome addition to West Derby Village!

Disappointed

Oh dear! Went to Almond on Saturday 20th March 2010. A night of disaster!!! 1st: Pumpkin soup - absolutely tasteless! and had lumps of what looked like flour floating in it - yuk. 2nd: Had plaice in a creamy sauce. Smelled very 'fishy' when it arrived and tasted even worse. I think it was off and couldn't stomach any more of it. Veg severely undercooked too. 3rd: Apple pie and custard: Raw underneath!!!! Absolutely no excuse for this bad food. Chef obviously incompetent who doesn't taste his own food for flavour. Reported to the manager at the end of the meal who said she 'was sorry about that' Never offered a refund or a solution to rectify the situation. She says on the website she 'loves customer service' - well she has no skills there either. Beware bad food at ALMOND WEST DERBY!!!!!!!

Hi, I have visited the Panoramic several times and have never had any problems. My Fiance worked there as a Chef from September 2009 until Mid March 2010, and although it was long hours with little financial reward, he learnt a great deal and knew that it would look impressive on his CV. At the start of March, I asked my Fiance to book a table for me and 5 girl friends (who were visiting from the Isle of Man, Scotland and Manchester) for a drink on 20th March. My fiance was not included. As no telephone confirmation had been received by either myself or my fiance, I rang the restaurant on the morning of 20th to confirm. The receptionist confirmed the booking for 5pm. Upon arrival, I was told by the receptionist that I would not be allowed to enter the restaurant. The front of house manager then came to reception and explained that since my fiance had ceased employment there, neither of us will be allowed to enter in there ever again! I explained that I had friends who had requested to go there for the view and all we wanted was a drink in the bar. Again he re-iterated that he and the chef had reached a decision and that was final. My friends were horrified and again asked for an explanation. Not wanting to cause any further fuss, I left with my friends. There are many things I could say about what happens in that kitchen, and I just want the public to be aware of the attitudes of the staff. They didn't even have the decency to tell me when I called to confirm the booking on the morning. I think I can sum it up by saying reputational damage is hard to rebuild, and I will never again recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The best place I believe in Liverpool One. However its the only one that is not well signed as you view the restaurants on the top floor of the shopping centre. Crisp, clean and simple in both terms of decor and cuisine.

Restaurant bar and grill used to be a fantastic restaurant. The quality of the food and service have deteriorated so far that it is on level pars with Wetherspoons or Mc Donalds. I dined here a couple of weeks ago and was so appalled by the service, we had to as someone to top up our wine glasses but where ignored and they walked away. We where chased off the table by being presented with the Bill without requesting it as we were not finished. After being so disgusted with this I complained to the manager and was invited back for a complimentary meal. I returned this weekend and was shocked that when I arrived and was sat at my table, the table was not finished being set. The waiter crouched down and lent on our table. The food was so over cooked that we could not eat it, and when the waiter asked the problem and we informed him we where met with a response of " well people normally enjoy the food" The lamb was unbelievably dry, all the food was under seasoned and we had to request salt. At the end of the meal to our horror we were asked if we wanted the bill! Even though it was supposed to be complimentary! Overall I was appalled and would not recommend anyone to dine at this restaurant.
