I found hair in my food, the man who served us an older guy has a disgusting table mannor and the place is run down, it should be shut down, dont get me started about the toilets! I heard good reviews but since it got taken over 5 years about maybe it has gone down hill and I feel I wasted my money there!
We tried to book a table a few times but they were fully booked. Now we know why ,the food and the service speaks for itself. The staff made my girlfriends birthday so special. We'll defo go back again o. Thanks for everything xxx
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreWe visited the Monro last Saturday night. It was our first time there and i have to say i wasn't expecting to be that good. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing yam yam. The service was spot on also. I would recommend it to all our friends and we'll go back again. Thumbs up!!!!
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreI visited Villa Romano this weekend. Atmosphere was good comfortable seating arrangements, although the restaurant was busy we were seated within 10 minutes and we were in no way cramped. The food was served in a time period that would surprise you for an empty restaurant and as I said it was busy so very impressive. We were a group of six and all food came together again a big tick. Now the food, hot fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. I will be going back and encourage others to do so. I do not write comments normally unless very good or very bad and this deserved a comment.
Villa Romana – Liverpool City CentreReturn visit, Had sunday lunch today starter was a very good pate with brioche toast, lovely sweet sauce and tangy garnish, mains was a carvery, but not, I must hasten to say the usual tired apology but fresh pink juicy beef with fresh soft Yorkshire, floury tasty roasties plus new potatoes and nice fresh veggies. Dessert was bread and butter pudding to die for and ice cream. All for about a tenner ! excellent food, very reasonable price , good ambiance and friendly staff, Highly recommended.

i recommend the sandgrounder restaurant because the very first time i had something to eat was when i was working in southport.I was working on the pier and i was eating at the marine lake cafe by the marina but i found that it wasnt up to much so i decided to try the sandgrounder and i must say it is the best fish and chips i have ever tasted.The staff are very friendly and they make you feel so welcome it is a warm and friendly atmosphere.I think the sandgrounder is good value for money it is cheap clean friendly and the food is very nice
Sandgrounder Restaurant – SouthportWent there with my daughter after she had been to her university for next year. I thought it would a nice treat we had the set lunch which was very nice. The staff were attentive but not intrusive would go again. I might try it in the evening with my husband.

Lobster Pot – Liverpool City CentreReally nice food, relaxed and nice atmosphere. The edamame beans with chilli are fab! The seating is a bit strange, bench like and you do sit very close to the next table, but we weren't too bothered as we were more interested in eating!
Wagamama – Liverpool City CentreIts pub grub, reasonable prices and a good choice, the gammon is very good as is the lasagna, steak can be hit/miss, depends who is cooking! You get what you pay for, so don't go expecting fantastic food for an average price of around £4-£5! Cheap & cheerful and one of the better pubs for food in the area.

Karma – West KirbyWe go here fairly regularly as its good value, good food, nice wine, relaxed atmosphere and you don't need to book, although on certain days its busier than others and you may need to wait but you can enjoy a drink at the bar or pop over the road to the pub and come back! The garlic bread and ribs are fantastic! Friendly helpful staff, recommend!
Venezia Pizzeria – BirkenheadI can truly say this is by far one of the best restaurants in Southport. My husband and I have been there numerous times and on each occasion the food has been delicious. Book early to avoid disappointment as it is only a small venue. Recommend the gusto goats cheese salad absolutely gorgeous.
Gusto Trattoria – SouthportWent here two weeks ago with my boyfriend, it was gorgeous. Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxed. The decor is very grand, but not over the top. Have recommended to all family and friends, will be back soon.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreFour of us visited Bistro Jacques before a trip to the theatre. The staff were friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about the food. The food was delicious, nice wholesome flavours all very well cooked. The service was excellent and we didn't have to wait for anything, especially good since there was a very large group of people who arrived shortly after us. I would definitely recommend this place.
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreHaving eaten Japanese food in a number of cities (Vancouver, London, San Francisco) but never in Japan I am always unsure of how authentic the food is. I can only say that Etsu serves the best Japanese food I have ever tasted and it all seems very authentic and true to the Japanese tradition. My wife and I asked the owner/manager to surprise us and left the choice to him. We enjoyed an absolutely superb choice of food which was presented faultlessly by really friendly staff. Every dish was a revelation and the whole meal was memorable. The damage for two people with beer and wine based on 6 or 8 decent sized plates was £50.00. If only all Liverpool restaurants were this good. Can't wait to go back and can't recommend it too highly.
