I booked this venue with recommendations from friends. I booked via sugarvine booking service, which was very easy. It was for my mums 60th birthday for 10 people. On arrival a staff member asked for the name. I told him and he got the amount of people wrong, then said the booking was for 7pm which it was booked for 6pm. The waiter frowned and said it was for 7pm, I disagreed and said I had a screenshot of my booking, he rudely walked away. When he returned he asked me on what day had I booked it, I tried to show him my phone and he repeated again twice on what day did I book it. I said I couldn’t remember, then checked the booking which gave the date. The booking which the staff member would not look at. I found him extremely rude, he frowned and came across in an aggressive manner. He then stormed off, he did not apologise for getting the booking wrong of got his aggressive manner in which he spoke to me. I wanted to leave the venue, but did not want to spoil my mums night. First impressions were dreadful. The food was ok, the other staff were pleasant enough, the staff member left us with a very dissatisfied and disappointing experience. Too many friendly and tastier venues nearby. First and last time!

First time here celebrating my daughter’s 15th birthday. It was very busy which shows how good the food is. The food was lovely. The staff were really pleasant and could not do enough for us. Lots of choice on the menu. Overall we had a really nice time and was a lovely experience.

Panama Hattys is always fantastic. The food is out of this world and the service is brilliant. We would definitely recommend.

Arranged a lunchtime meal for myself and my 2 teenage children. Food was excellent,couldn’t fault anything. The children loved their meal as well .

The staff were great. The food was adequate. But by half past nine the music was turned off and the furniture rearranged. We were having a reunion and did feel like we were being shown the door. We ended up in the pub next door.

Had afternoon tea at smokies and it was lovely. Well worth the money. The waiter that served us was really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely go again.
