Nectar Bistro – ChorltonSunday breakfasts, Good quality and big portions. Saturday afternoons they welcome children and don't mind splitting one child's portion into two. Last Saturday afternoon they gave out the most delicious pretzels FOC!
Napa – BramhallIt was my first visit last Saturday evening and we enjoyed it very much. Very pleasant staff, nice atmosphere and excellent food.
Parthenon Taverna – HeywoodI've been living in Manchester for 10 years, and none of the so-called "Japanese" restaurants have impressed me. They are flashy, but not truly Japanese, and not even close to those you find in London. Yuzu is the real thing, a proper Japanese restaurant where Japanese people like myself appreciates the effort! The tempura is great, not greasy at all but light and crispy - as it should be, but so many restaurants get it wrong. Same can be said for the tonkatsu, which was thick and crispy yet done to perfection and still juicy. Highly recommended, and hats off to the chef!!
Yuzu – Manchester ChinatownI tried Jai Kathmandu for the first time last week after reading the many recommendations. It was a very cold night, snow everywhere but as soon as we walked inside it was lovely and warm. They had made a big effort to keep the large dining area heated which was appreciated. We were welcomed by very friendly staff. the food was amazing, unlike any other Indian restaurant I have been to. We had some poppadums, tandoori lamb chops to start, I had Karahi Lamb which was amazing, the rice and the naan bread lovely too. I would recommend Jai Kathmandu to everyone and will definitely be going back!
Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenBest breakfast in Manchester! Also the Christmas panini is absolutely fantastic and great value for money! Everything at Stupots is delightful!
Stupots – SwintonLove the food here and especially the happy hour! They are amazing with kids too and provide colouring and fab kids menu!
Napa – BramhallI have been eating at this restaurant for over a decade. It is always brilliant. The food and the service is consistently excellent. No other restaurant can compare on price or quality. The Sunday lunch 3 course for under £5 is just as well cooked and served :)
China City – Manchester City CentreSix months ago my son and I visited La Salsa for lunch. Not being an adventurous eater this was my first taste of Tapas. I was very impressed and tapas has become my favourite eat-out meal. I would give the restaurant, the staff and the food a hearty ten out of ten and eat there a couple of times a week.
La Salsa – HorwichAn unclean establishment run by people who could not spell hygiene let alone practice it. My food was poorly presented, the staff rude, handled their hair, faces & cash without washing their hands before touching the food, coughed over the produce and in general were poorly presented and unclean. I would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy.
Armenique – StockportWhen you visit Nutters it's like being in a Fairy Tale. There's a SORCEROR in the kitchen, a REGAL QUEEN front of house and a WIZARD in the winery. There's nothing BROTHERS GRIMM about this experience. It's a Magical Potion that leaves you wanting more and more.
Fantastic venue! Great food and cocktails! Highly recommended.
The Grill On the Alley – Manchester City Centreexcellent food and service at the coven
The Coven – WiganWe strongly recommend a visit. Good homemade food at reasonable prices and looked after by a traditional landlady.
Black Bull – BoltonVery good food and large portion with fair price. The owner and staff always give the best service. I think no one will be disappointed!!! Excellent experience at Ciao Bella!
Ciao Bella Restaurant – Manchester City CentreSuperb Thai restaurant in Chinatown,we ate a fantastic set lunch (before 4 pm 6.95 or 9.95) and what value,4 of us ate a hearty ,spicy ,tasty lunch for less than 40 quid with a drink too!!Plenty of choice in a lovely setting, best Thai in Manchester for us,and big recommendation from me.We will definitely be going again.
Try Thai – Manchester City CentreI went here last night after reading some fantastic reviews. My friend and I could not have been more disappointed!! The menu does not reflect the food that actually arrives at the table. The food is cheap and of very poor quality. As an example my friend ordered pasta with strips of beef. What arrived was pasta bolognese without the bolognaise!! It was mince meat too! When the chef came to the table he actually said people can't chew the beef that's why they mince it!! Mine was tasteless and of poor value. We waited 40 minutes just for the starters, then the glass of wine that we ordered came begrudgingly. The desserts weren't much better. I would not eat here again for free, nor would I recommend it. We weren't the only diners that left unhappy either!
Ciao Bella Restaurant – Manchester City CentreA nice surprise. Went on Friday a great selection of starters and mains. Cant understand why we haven't visited sooner. We'll definitely return.
