Called for a meal last night. Our first visit since it changed hands. On entry we were ushered straight to our table without a chance to relax and have a drink at the bar whilst scanning the menu. When we received the menu the wine list was vary limited with no descriptions of any of the wines. That's the negatives over with. The staff were very friendly and polite and the food was prompt and delicious, My fillet steak was cooked just to my liking and the portions were just right,but the biggest surprise of the night was the bill. I have never had food and service of this quality for such a reasonable price. It looks like the new owners are a young couple trying to make a go of it. I wish them every success. Will I be going back? I've already booked!

Great meal and service. Good atmosphere but not too noisy. Staff very helpful and friendly. Will be going again soon.

I came in August with a friend it was my 50th birthday and we had a couple of cocktails . It was raining outside but lovely and warm inside the staff were very good and we received a warm welcome. I am going again with my sister at end of this month as she hasn't been well and think this treat would cheer her up .

this restaurant should be famous for there biryani,and my family eats there every single time WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I visited this restaurant for the first time the this week, and was floored by not only the service but the quality of the food also. I ordered the Verona’s Special Pizza and I honestly cannot find the words to describe it, it was wonderful, on a thin crust base and topped with everything, olives, pepperoni, peppers & lashings of cheese amongst other toppings, it was just delish, & the staff could not have been more attentive they made us feel so welcome. I can't wait to return.

Wow!! I've just enjoyed the most delicious sea bass ever! Fresca sea bass, served with tiger prawns that were equally fresh and tasty, served with a side dish of vegetables (because I didn't want potatoes - trying to cut the carbs, you know) was superb. The restaurant has a happy, buzzing atmosphere, friendly but professional staff, and obviously a fantastic chef! A "must-go-again"!

It's a fun night, though more about quantity than subtlety. A buffet of 'sides' and spuds is accompanied by a slice after slice of MEAT. Beef, chicken, pork lamb, they ALL arrive on your plate in steady small quantities delivered by a man with a big skewer. No tasty sauces, this is a BBQ and ketchup place but amusing for all that.

I lived in W Didsbury from 1997 - so used to eat at the Metropolitan a lot. It used to be great. I have been back there twice recently - once for drinks on a Friday night (never again it felt like a Yates' pub except a lot dearer). I also had lunch there midweek. I had the Metro burger. This used to be excellent. However, it came on a "value" bun & the bacon was what can only be described as flaccid. Not the gastropub fare that it used to be. Overpriced and resting on it's laurels.

Just enjoyed an absolutely fabulous meal at La Roma. Will be returning in the near future. Excellent food, service and ambiance. Reasonably priced, excellent friendly service and food to die for.

Went to this restaurant with 3 others for a special occasion. A welcome change from the run of the mill restaurants found in Bury. The menu is varied, I would recommend the Pizzas which are fired in a wood burning oven. The service was slick and friendly with complimentary limoncello brought to our table. Will definitely return

This is an over hyped restaurant. We reached there about half past seven in evening through public transport. First we were asked eat in or take away. We obviously wanted to eat in as we have come a long way. Then the owner told he can do take away for us as he is busy with outdoor catering. If he was too busy to take more customers he should put a note of Take away only. We were annoyed as he was still serving another family who came little before us for eat in. Well we waited for 20-25 minutes for our take away, and ate it after 2 hours of our journey as we were doing bus journeys. In the end after reaching home, when we re-heated the food, it was full of oil, and we used serving spoon to take the oil out. The naan bread was too hard to eat. I must say there are better restaurants for Vegetarians/Vegans for Indian cuisine in Manchester itself. Should never had listened to this recommendation.

It's alright.

We used to go to La Roma when it was based at the King William in Bromley Cross and were very disappointed when Stefano had to move. We were delighted to find out recently where his new restaurant was and immediately booked for a meal. We were not disappointed. The food was even better than before, you are made welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant until you leave. We have a five year old daughter and she loves going to La Roma especially for the bread sticks and garlic bread with cheese. If you are an italian lover I would highly recommend La Roma for any occasion.

Fabulous food, atmosphere, hospitality. One of the best Thai restaurants I have visited.

Went here recently and it is fabulous! Their Pad Thai is amazing! Really friendly staff!

i recommend the chicken nuggets as they are really nice and the best food ever and also the fish is nice :)

Have been many times never disappointed,quality food thats always fresh, staff friendly & helpful, modern style inside sets it off fantastic although outside looks unusual but don't let it put you off well worth a visit
