La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWe came across the restaurants website a while ago and only just tried it, as shame as we have been missing out. There is plenty of bog standard Italian eateries, however going of the dishes we had, La Roma's food seemed to be a notch up above the norm. The starters had a different twist to the usual items served up, pate stuffed mushrooms in filo pastry - deep fried, and stuffed tomatoes with tuna and crab in a sauce - very nice and just that bit different. My wife always goes for a Lasagna, this was the first one she had where the meat did not taste of cheap 'meat pie' flavor - it was very nice. I had pizza, the dough was crisp and thin, with a good, not overwhelming topping. We went mid week and found the service very good and friendly.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonReally cozy ambiance; delicious, fresh food; very good service. I can only recommend this restaurant and will be back again with guests.
Bistro West 156 – DidsburyI used to eat at this restaurant a few years ago, but stopped going as the service was quite poor. However, we visited on 1st May, and our experience was absolutely excellent! I think it is now new owners. The food was fantastic (especially the King Prawns in batter - MASSIVE!!). The service was probably the best that we've had in a restaurant for ages. We really couldn't find any fault at all, and we can't wait to return to try out the rest of the menu! We had an excellent evening, and it was fantastic value for money.
La Salsa – HorwichExcellent starters. The best onion bhaji's and meat samosa's I've tasted in a long while. The flavour/spicing in the main course was a delight. The naan was light, soft and really good. Unfortunately the meat was overcooked and a bit dry.
Blue Tiffin – RoytonFood was very tasty but so overpriced if you consider you get more in the take-away for a quarter of the price.Restaurant itself looked lovely liked the decor.
Turkish Delight – ChorltonI Have been eating at the Rajdoot since I was about 5 years old and can confirm that in my well travelled experience it is THE BEST Indian cuisine I have ever tasted. Sant in Manchester is a fine manager and guests are all treated with respect and as they deserve. Keep up the good work Sant.
Rajdoot Tandoori – Manchester City CentreA wonderful relaxing experience! A refreshingly child-friendly restaurant set in beautiful surrounding. The food is the best italian we have ever tasted and the staff are very friendly[nothing was too much trouble]. Would recommend La Roma too everyone.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonFantastic food in a peaceful setting. A very friendly place. We have a young daughter & the friendliness of staff make going out for a meal so much easier. They even prepare a mickey mouse style pizza just for the kids with jug ears shaped dough. An extensive menu, but I cannot seem to get beyond the chilli garlic bread & prawn tagliatelle flavoured with fennel. Beautiful.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonDon't go here! I used to eat here then I read in the local paper they'd been fined a lot of money by Environmental Health because it's so filthy. Yuk!
Cha Cha’s – LevenshulmeA lovely intimate little restaurant with quiet atmosphere. Slightly tacky and dated interior but this is far outweighed by the beautiful food. Aromatic kebabs on light-as-a-feather Basmati rice, stuffed peppers, meatballs in fragrant sauce. Delicious and authentically Persian. Very similar to the other splendid Persian eatery of South Manchester (The Persia Grill House of Chorlton) but slightly better menu. And the bastani Persian ice-cream - amazing! And a glass of Persian tea to finish. A lovely venue for a quiet meal with someone special.
Shiraz Restaurant – NorthendenHaving not been to the Windmill in years and hearing lots of good things about it of late I decided, on the spur of the moment, to check it out. So on Saturday, 5pm off I went and I took my 11 year old daughter with me. All I can say is that it was fantastic value for money. My daughter had a slice each of beef, turkey and gammon and I had beef and gammon. The meat melted in the mouth and was extremely tasty, we piled up our plate with peas, green beans, carrots, cauliflower cheese and boiled and roasted potatoes, smothered with lovely rich gravy. I was extremely impressed. Things to note. Pay for your meal at the bar and get a ticket to hand to the carvery staff, time it right - had we got there 30 mins later we would have had a bit of a wait. Overall we had a great experience and will be repeating it soon.
Windmill – AudenshawGreat offer - 2 for £22 will keep me coming back - 3 courses and a drink for 2 for only £22 + its not out of a microwave!!! really good fresh food - can't do better for the price. Great views over the lake especially on a sunny day. Would highly recommend
The Boathouse Restaurant – SaleAbsolutely delicious food, so different from the usual 'curry house' fayre. Lovely friendly service. If you visit this place once you'll be hooked, and dying to tell all your friends to go there too. Really excellent.
Sanmini’s – RamsbottomMy local Indian, always of high standard. We would go here in preference to other Indian restaurants anyway,
Sagor Tandoori – OldhamReally enjoyed my meal here - the staff are very professional but very formal. Food standard is fab, almost equal to the Peacock Room in Bamford but Nutters wine list is better
nawaab is gr8 but can't understand why they are charging £6 for over 3's, it should be under 5's free as my daughter is 3 and just runs around whilst there, maybe just having about 2-3 chips, not really worth paying £6 for. Appalling!!!
Royal Nawaab – LevenshulmeHave been to the Indian ocean many times over many years and have recently just been again. The food as always was good, however i do feel that as it's popularity has increased and word of mouth spread, the standard of its service, has decreased, although it was originally a high standard. The last 2 times i have been i have enjoyed the food but been left disappointed by the service. I would still recommend it, as it is still one of the best Indian restaurants in the area.
