We wanted to try something different and after reading about it's 3 course meal for a tenner we thought we'd give it a go. We were very pleasantly surprised, the food choices would suit any tastes and the actually food was fantastic, the portions were a good size and everything tasted fresh, this is a definite must if you want a really nice italian meal. I had the Stroganoff and the beef was really tender, my sister has the lemon salmon and loved it and my mum had the chicken which was huge!! We were so full afterwards we could hardly move. We were also being greedy and had a garlic bread to share and coffees afterwards and it was still only £15 each, bargain!!

The Diner.

Great place. Great food. Exceptional since the long awaited refurbishment. However very recently they've put energy saving bulbs allover and its like being back in the office! Not good for a romantic candlelit night out! Tell them to change

EastZEast's Ibis restaurant has won the Manchester Food & Drink Festival's Restaurant of the Year two years running. Based on the quality of the food, that's understandable. If you want a meal on a Saturday night where your welcome is warm, your service isn't rushed and you aren't asked to leave before you've had chance to finish your drinks, even though you've just spent almost £100 on a meal, I'd give it a miss. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were made to feel as though we were an inconvenience. Two of our party had been slightly delayed, and the woman managing the tables gave the impression that we would lose our booking if they didn't turn up within five minutes. Once we were seated, the waiters were very attentive and keen to take our orders. At first we thought that this was because they wanted to make sure we weren't left waiting. We later realised, though, that it was because they needed to turn tables around as quickly as possible. The food was outstanding, and for this reason the restaurant deserves its recent awards. The portions were well sized, being just the right side of too much, and perfectly seasoned. The variety on the menu was also good. There were three vegetarians in our party, and we had an embarrassment of choice. After we had paid, however, the manager of the tables came over to us and said, "You can see that we are very busy, so as a favour to my staff, you can either drink up now or you can take your drinks to the sofas and finish them there." She then paused before finishing with, "I'm asking you nicely to leave." Not only is this exceptionally rude, it almost completely negated the pleasure we had had from eating the food. I would certainly think twice about eating there again. No matter how good the food is, I don't expect to be treated so rudely by the staff in a restaurant.

One word, Fantastic!! great food, service and atmosphere, just shows how great this place is that it was absolutely packed on a Saturday lunchtime when the rest of Kings Street is very quiet in these financially unsure times. I could eat here every week and not get fed up.

We last went on 21st Feb 2009 and were very pleased with the friendly, polite and efficient service we received. In addition, the food was excellent and the price even better at £9.95 per head for five courses. We would recommend it to anyone. Plus, you can bring your own wine too and have glasses provided!

Four of us went to the Black Ladd for the first time. The service was OK but the food was awful. Uninspiring prawn cocktail, dried and overcooked salmon, pants steak and dreadful lasagna. I'm sorry, but it was disappointing and we will not return. Don't know what all the fuss is about and will not recommend.

This is my favourite restaurant, and the best chinese restaurant I have ever been to. The food is lovely and the owner Moi and her staff make you feel so welcome and looked after. I can't help but go back, again and again.

Friendly staff and superb food. I have eaten in the restaurant and also had a takeaway meal and highly recommend this restaurant. This in my opinion is a better choice than some Rusholme restaurants. I highly recommend the Special Biryani or Garlic Chicken Chilli Masala.

Asian Fusion – Chorlton

I visited Nam Ploy on Valentines Day with my girlfriend after reading all these fantastic reviews. Both of us have travelled around Thailand before, and we're always on the lookout for authentic Thai cuisine. On the night they were of course very busy, and unfortunately the service was intermittent (however our waitress was lovely), and the food varied. Although some of the food was quite cold, it tasted nice, and on a different day I felt I would've been a lot happier. But our real issue was with the "club room" downstairs which had two or three people in it and didn't really justify the distracting bass we could hear upstairs. If Nam Ploy read this, I seriously suggest you rethink that room. Especially when it seems to encourage girls taking drugs in the toilets nearby. Don't get me wrong, if I was in a club I wouldn't care less, but in a restaurant...!

A very, very disappointing dining experience. My wife and I dine out frequently and we have circumvented a number of local indian restaurants. This place seriously let themselves down. they served up salty food and when this point was brought to the attention of the waiting staff / chef we were told 'the chef said you were having a laugh !!!'. The manager failed to address the situation. If you want to take my advice... unless you like salty food and poor customer service you'll be best off avoiding this place

Cinnamon Indian Cuisine – Wigan

was not really enjoyable in my opinion, The "Special" left alot to be desired and was not worth the asking price of £18. (it arrived cold and tasted awful) My overall findings of casa nostra were that they were more focused on selling take away pizza's than the well being of their table diners, and this shows in the quality of food. My advice would be to make the extra 10 minute journey to La Scala just up the road were the food is freshly made by authentic Italian chefs.

Mogul has to be my find of this year. The exterior looks like an old brick Sunday school. Go through the doors and you're in another world: simple, serene, sophisticated. A high-ceilinged blend of subdued shades of grey with clever lighting and good modern furniture. And the unusually handsome waiters could pass for Bollywood movie stars. The food is refreshingly well-cooked and is noticeably free of that unpleasant gleam of a film of cooking fat. I started with meat samosas which were the best I have tasted since the two brothers, who sold little else, left Wilmslow Road in Rusholme all those years ago. A lamb jalfrezi was excellent and I also dipped into my companion's vegetable dopiaza which was just as good. With two jugs of mango lassi and soft drinks, the bill for the two of us came to under £33. Moghul beats anything on the Curry Mile and easily outstrips the modern Indian restaurants in the city centre.

very disappointed food suspected partly processed e.g tasted and looked like packet mash with mustard never had liquid mash before. Yorkshire puds sent back burnt. veg portion meagre for 7 people. soup like watered down packet tasteless and no body to it.overpriced for such poor quality spoilt family day out.
