I would highly recommend the Simla Inn Tandoori Restaurant in Royton. I have tried and tested that many different places and this is definitely the best one so far, the staff are really friendly, great atmosphere/ambience and fantastic food, with a huge variety to choose from on the menu. I can't wait to go back as they have the best onion bhajis ever mmm.

I had a meal at the Double Tree couple of days after the official opening, I must say I was very pleased with the food and service 10/10 The interior was very colourful, and the restaurant had a nice warm atmosphere. I would recommend the Double Tree Restaurant to anybody who likes good traditional Indian food.

The food is acceptable. however, it's VERY expensive. I found no motivation to go there the second time since there are many better Thai restaurants in town. Chaophraya Thai restaurant is much better. The food and service there are great and it's also ranked the 5th best restaurant in the Manchester. Also, Phetpailin and Try Thai in China Town are also a lot better with affordable prices. Furthermore, the manager of Koh Samui is very rude and mannerless (the dark and bald guy) , i went to tell him that it was very cold at my table. He ignored me and pretended that he didn't hear me.

My sister and her husband invited us to Double Tree as a Christmas treat.... and treat it was! This is a swish stylish neighbourhood restaurant with modern decor comfortable chairs and Villeroy & Boch tableware. Traditional dishes sit along side the contemporary ,all vibrantly flavoured and attractively presented by charming, friendly and skilled staff. Watch out Dilli !!!! This newcomer is dedicated to offering value for money. we loved it and will be back with more friends.Try the Bengal Haandi and Granny style lamb madras yum!

Had an excellent 3-course dinner here for less than £20 per head, inclusive of some fine Arabic coffee. The menu offered all the well-known middle eastern dishes, plus some we hadn't encountered before. As stated in earlier reviews, the owners are charming, "hands-on" and clearly well experienced in the preparation of middle eastern food.

This is the usual Anglo/Asian fare. It lacks passion, flavour and quality. The majority of it is just warmed up and every dish is swimming in ghee. Same old same old.

Excellent food

Visited the lounge 2 weeks ago, and it was poor. Very overpriced, no real choice on the menu. For a winter menu to be dominated by salads is not a well written menu. This was our 1st visit back to the lounge since the kitchens head chef changed, and its gone from really really good, to really really bad!

we always visit the Jai Kathmandu when we fly out of Manchester every year. we have always found the staff very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere cosy and inviting. The food is absolutely MAGIC!!! and is one of the highlights of our year. With living in the north of Scotland we are not able to visit as much as we would like to. I thoroughly recommend the Jai Kathmandu, where every customer is special.

Booked a month age for Xmas day lunch.Popped in 13.00 Xmas eve,to be told extractor in kitchen not working and not going to be fixed in time.Left tel.no.at time of booking..couldn't even be bothered to ring and let us know...could have easily turned up for nothing,with nothing in for lunch at home,and no other restaurant available at short notice.Won't come here again,or recommend to anyone.

high quality Chinese take away great staff and i travel 5+ mile for this that's how good it is

I was part of a group of 10 and as it was a xmas family meal ,,, there was little festive cheer .. no xmas decs on the table, yet the usual offer has been withdrawn for xmas ...no xmas music to speak off ... £200 .. not well spent ,,, it was not the staff - but the atmosphere and detail touches that was missing ,,,,,,

This is by far the best Asian food and friendly service in the area. We do try to go 5-6 times per year, but Xmas Eve is a must. we have been having Xmas Eve at the standard for nigh on 10 years now Well done to all at the Standard !!

We have been going to Spicy Hut for many years and enjoy it every single time. This year we heald my 30th birthday celebration there. We were a party of 21 people and I have to say the service was just wonderful. We pre ordered all our food and we all got just what we ordered. The food was as delicious as always. All my friends have praised the night highly and loved everything about it. Thank you Spicy Hut. You did us proud. Five stars all they way!!!!!

I have been to the Midway many times. The food is excellent, sensibility priced and the service is first class. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good food and a lovely atmosphere. Vincent Tracey

We ate here on our works do. I had fillet steak cooked medium rare and it was just beautiful! Peroni on draught at the bar is also a bonus. Great place and great food!
