Superb in every way. T bone with the Blackladd sauce is a must. We recently visited best Chinese restaurant in England . voted by Gordan Ramsey F-Word. This restaurant was no were near as nice as the blackladd bukstones road shaw nr oldham ; we have visited lots of restaurants ,and we put the blackladd as number one. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. Big thanks to the wonderful chef and staff. Yours thankfully mr peter jones

I have been to this restaurant many times and find the food to be lovely and the service to be excellent. I have recommended it to many friends and work colleagues. The waiters are experienced and good fun and spend the evening ensuring you have a nice time. I have never heard a bad review from anyone who has been there. It will continue to be my favourite place to dine out.

We all went for lunch from work and I must say I was dubious but the food was absolutely delicious we all had something different and the food was to die for and the pub is a nice olde worlde pub with a nice roaring fire and the staff where really nice and friendly.

What can i say, the food and service are second to none! Yes there is an overrated place trying out the 'lets be posh in Eccles' look but for atmosphere and great, down to earth no nonsense food. Smiths is the place to be. Been there 3 times now and i'm welcomed like an old friend!!

Hi I visit la roma at least once a week for lunch and a couple of times a month for dinner, i held my birthday there. Wonderful fresh food and wonderful staff! x

After a recent visit to Nutters Restaurant, I was extremely disappointed. I read raving reviews about this restaurant and was very much looking forward to my visit only to turn up and be greeted by an extremely sour faced young woman on arrival. She quite obviously did not want to be there and was not pleased to show us to our cramped table in the bar area. Once seated, we were approached by a young man barking about drink orders. I made out from this caveman like grunt that we were infact supposed to inform him what drinks we would like. I went through 3 different drinks in order to be told that they had ran out of them all and we're due a stock intake in the near future. I ended up with a lovely regular tap water. Once shown to our table which was slap bang in the middle of the restaurant allowing elbows, trays, plates, the lot, to graze my back throughout what was supposed to be a peaceful meal, we were presented with a very dry piece of fish on top of some lettuce. That is the best way to describe it. Also, I was quite confused as to why my fish came with bones, I dont recall ordering a plate of fish bones. The rest of the meal to follow wasn't much different with my plate being taken away covered in various chewed grizzly pieces of meat and undercooked vegetables. The meal was not tickling my taste buds whatsoever so I obviously was truly dismayed, offended and sickened when watching my husband take a spoonful of ice cream, what he thought was a decorative piece was infact a fingernail!!! This really was the last straw and we called the owner over to voice our not happy opinions only to be barked at in some kind of illiterate language about the restaurant once being the best in the North West and abruptly being handed the bill. Reluctantly, we paid for the monstrosity that was but I can safely say I will never be returning to the restaurant and I certainly will not be recommending it to anyone... EVER!

Went for a look at Velvet on a Friday evening, based on the reviews, because we couldn't get into Sweet Mandarin. The reviewers who suggested that the mussels were good were spot-on, they really were. Lovely rich tomato base to the sauce. The risotto main had a lovely texture, even though it was a tiny bit dry (I prefer it wetter and finished al forno), and was made with a very nice selection of funghi. I had rib-eye, it's not very often that I eat steak out but I was very happy, lovely light charring to the outside and still pink and moist inside. Fantastic staff, they are rushed off their feet most evenings but can still have a laugh with you. Didn't do puddings - but the cocktails are great. Got up late the morning after and had excellent breakfast - coffee and very yummy pastries at Wong Wong Bakery just up Princess St. However, if you prefer Velvet do a take-away breakfast too.

If Akabars, East Z East and Zouk are the man utd, chelsea and arsenal of the Manchester Indian posh restaurant scene,then Zaika have a long way to go to gain a champions league position.Dont get me wrong they have spent a fortune on the deco and easily compares to the other three in ambiance,but the comparisons end there.I'll stick with my season tickets elsewhere.

Went with my husband for my birthday , lovely food friendly staff, really enjoyed it , very reasonable prices too, We will definitely be going back again

had a meal at this place last Thursday after being told it was'the best Tapas ever'. unfortunately it was the worst Tapas ever. Tasteless. food, (the meatballs looked and tasted as though they had a can of chopped tomatoes poured on them). I have eaten at La Tasca and the food there is miles better than this pap. Avoid.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I had a terrible meal at Rosso last night. The service was absolutely appalling. It took 20 minutes to seat us (even though we booked a week in advance) One of the meals was off and made one of our party gag! We had to ask four times for the bill. AND the food was AVERAGE. I would never go again. P.S. I don't usually write reviews but had to make an exception for this shockingly bad establishment. Spend your money at one of Manchester's nice restaurants! McDonalds would have been nicer.

Best Indian restaurant in Manchester- without a doubt!. Go out of your way to try the delicious, different homemade food. Venue often looks dark and decor is dull - food in luminous - GO !!!

A party of 8 headed to Rozafa on last Friday evening. We opted for the mega mezes, 2 meat, 1 seafood and 1 veggie. The quality and quantity of food that arrived at our table was unbelievable. We left very full and with a free bottle of wine from the owner so will definitely be going back in the near future!

Me and my Boyfriend visited The Lime Tree for a special Valentine's day meal and we were certainly not disappointed. Upon arrival we were seated swiftly. The service was very friendly and prompt throughout the whole meal. The cost of the meal was very reasonable at £45 per person for 4 courses. Menu choices was of a wide variety. We will definitely be making another trip back to The Lime Tree and have already recommended this restaurant to all our friends. :0) Christine and Karl
