La Roma Restaurant – BoltonVisited Zouk early on a Saturday evening with my partner and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the 'toss the coin' voucher and luckily both called it right so we only paid for our drinks and sides, naan bread etc (although the voucher did state that ALL the food was free!) We would have been happy to pay the full price as the food could not be faulted. Our only gripe was that there didn't seem to be much organisation and within 10 minutes of being shown to our seats we asked at least 5 times by different waiters if we ready to order. Definitely worth a try.
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City Centre17/10/9. This restaurant is well recommended. We eat there with friends on a Saturday evening, nothing was too much trouble & the food was really excellent - no it wasn't - it was better than that. This place deserves support. Not sure about the jokes though. Will definitely be going back.
Rozafa Taverna – StockportI arrived at your restaurant yesterday along with my family for a birthday lunch, a party of 10 to be exact. Your website stated that you served lunch until 3 o'clock. Due to our train being late, we arrived at 2.40, later than we had anticipated and were promptly told that we could only have pizzas. We had printed off the vouchers for your special offer of 2 persons dining for £25 including a bottle of wine but were refused this offer. We pointed out that your website offered dining until 3 o'clock but this made no difference. We thought that you could have at least admitted your mistake on this one occasion and accommodated us but no, you promptly just showed us the door. We shall definitely not be visiting your restaurant again and shall make sure all our friend give it a wide birth too. I feel that the staff just couldn't be bothered.
I visited Zouk last weekend with a large group of friends. It was very busy night but the food quality and the service we received were outstanding, there were no long waits at all. Very courteous staff+excellent food=winning combination. We will be going there again this weekend. Would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good Indian curry!
Zouk Tea Bar – Manchester City Centre12 months ago, I did not know the existence of The Fisherman's Retreat. Now, I'll tell anyone who'll listen how absolutely brilliant the restaurant is. We recently had a simple civil registry wedding in Bury and as such started researching restaurants in the area for an intimate lunch for 15 people. This is when we stumbled across this restaurant. We firstly went to check the place out on a Sunday and were so impressed with the food, I told my husband this is where I wanted to have our lunch. We spoke to the owner's son and he couldn't do enough for us. We had our wedding lunch two weeks later and it was just superb. They set up a private area for us and decorated the tables beautifully. We enjoyed a champagne reception outside in the sun for a little bit. All our guests were so impressed with the food and service. We have since returned several times, taking our guests and everytime the food is just superb. We plan to have another party during Christmas. Keeping in mind that we have to travel over 40 minutes to get to this restaurant, its well worth it!
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomGreat Ramen noodles after a dreadful shopping experience.
Tampopo – Trafford CentreI had a fantastic meal at The Restaurant Bar & Grill on Saturday! The food was delicious - out of this world! I am quite a fussy eater and asked our waiter if he could change a few things on my dish, nothing was too much trouble. The whole atmosphere of the bar and the restaurant was great. It was lovely to see smiling, friendly staff. It really made our weekend and I can't wait to go back again!
Restaurant Bar and Grill – Manchester City CentreWe were a party of 10 adults and one child on Saturday 24th October and would just like to say what a good time we had. The staff were pleasant and attentive, very helpful with the differing meal choices, giving advice on how items were cooked, the food was hot, everyone said how much they enjoyed their meals and we could not fault the service. Well done to all the staff and a big thank you for making the evening such a pleasant one
Heald Green Beefeater and Travel Inn – CheadleNo longer the best kept secret in town. The plaudits are totally justified. I have eaten here since it opened and the quality remains the same. The most authentic thai restaurant by miles eg pad thai served with the proper accompaniments and the vermicelli noodles so heavenly. The staff are fantastic. Favourite dishes ( difficult to choose a few! ) , sweet corn cakes, crispy coriander beef, deep fried scallops, duck salad, chicken pad thai, beef in garlic and pepper, pork in red curry soup with noodles.THE BEST RESTAURANT WITHOUT A DOUBT.
Try Thai – Manchester City CentreI have eaten at this restaurant for many, many years. The quality of the food never changes and in my view is the best in the UK. The food is authentic, the portions very generous and easily the best value for money in Manchester. Favourite dishes: chicken noodle soup, chicken lettuce wrap, aromatic crispy duck, char sui pork in sechuan sauce, chicken in OK sauce, beef in black bean sauce on crispy noodles, special casserole and the truly wonderful WAH TAP FISH. Try the sublime lunch menu for £4.50!
China City – Manchester City CentreTwo of us went on a Saturday night, busy, noisy, but we could hear each other across the table. Good food (we had tapas), very good service. Some dishes could have been warmer -they should heat the bowls they arrive in. Order a few then order some more rather than all at once and get some bread for the sauces too. We had a great evening and would go again - but not as a large party because you wouldn't be able to hear everyone.
La Vina – Manchester City CentreYum yum yum - great menu catering for all requirements - whether you're in a hurry or not. Great selection, nice interior, went for Sunday breakfast
Katsouris – Manchester City CentreWhat a lovely place, stopped going to the Vic years ago (landlady was awful) but decided to give it a try because all my friends have said a lot of good things about it, definitely not disappointed, the food was as it states (real food) not microwave as you would find in most of the pubs in and around bury. Staff very polite and eager to make your evening as relaxing and enjoyable as they possibly can. I will be recommending the Victoria to many more of my friends and hope that some of the people that was put off when the rude landlady was there also give the Victoria a try, its just what Walshaw needs!!!
The Victoria – BuryI have eaten in the restaurant and had many take aways from Buraq. I could never complain about the quality of the food. As I am a particularly fussy about quality of food I don't have Indian food from anywhere else. At Buraq the food is full of flavour and superb. I may return this Christmas with my young family.

Buraq – WiganBuzzrocks is the best Caribbean takeaway i have eat in! really friendly atmosphere and pleasant staff. The food is of top quality and really large portions. Excellent takeaway...... my favourite by far
Buzzrocks Caribbean Takeaway – HulmeWe went for a meal here after hearing great reviews from friends/associates. We went on a Friday evening in October 2009 and the table was booked for 9pm, we arrived at 8.55pm but were not seated until 9.30pm even though there were tables available. We quickly ordered our food and asked for some olives which didn't arrive, we asked for them again on 2 other occasions and they finally arrived after our starter. The starters were nice but nothing to get excited about. The waitress cleared our starter plates and we then waited 40 mins for the main courses to arrive. On arrival my husband cut into his monkfish which I can only describe as frozen and not cooked at all! We complied to the waitress who apologised and took it away to get another one, which took 20 mins to arrive. During this time I asked for my main course of Chicken Supreme to be kept warm, unfortunately they appeared to have kept it somwhere that would continue to cook it so when it reappeared with my husbands now overcooked Monkfish, it was overcooked and dry. There was little sauce with it and what there was appeared to be a very thin gravy and not a supreme sauce. We sent both dishes away untouched! We asked to speak to the manager who appeared sheepishly, we explained what had happened but received little response and no apology. She offered us complimentary coffee which we felt was an insult. We requested the bill which included one of the main courses which I could not believe, so I advised the manager that we would not be paying for either main course which she looked a little pained by. The bill returned minus the 2 main courses which we paid and then left the restaurant to go home and get a take-away! My husband and I eat out at various restaurants on a regular occasion but we can honestly say that in the 4 years we have been together this restaurant experience has certainly been the worst in terms of food and service!
