Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreHave walked past this place many times just sure there couldn't possibly be a decent restaurant within the confines of the Village. More fool me!. We went there last week and it was excellent. The service was quite exceptional, the food was swift and tasty, some quite wonderful starters especially. The only quibble I would have was the house white wine which was drab, but otherwise a fantastic experience, we shall return soon!

Romanos – OldhamFor a pre concert or cinema visit in the Printworks or a lunch in town, you wouldn? go far wrong with the English Lounge. Now it? not the French at the Midland or Establishment and it? not the arty farty type grub its good olde pub grub at a very reasonable price and large portions too. Add very friendly staff and quick service and it? just the ticket if this tickles your fancy. Accepting that its just a pub, you will not be disappointed.

Petra – RusholmeBy far the best indian restaurant in Manchester, better than anything in Rusholme by far. Service is excellent! You even get complementary drinks! On my last visit we got a free half pint of Cobra and at the end of the meal some vanilla brandy! The food is totally divine too, we had some specials off the menu, one called The Taste of Shundourbon and a Shezane Mugli, both tasted gorgeous and were just right. The naans are divine and the chapati are to die for! They even do take away if you don't want to dine in! This place should have a lot of awards for what it is!
Standard Indian Restaurant – UrmstonEnjoyed a Christmas party downstairs at the phoenix, place was packed but we were kept busy by the DJ entertaining us, when the food came it was hot very presentable and delicious! Must be hard to keep standards high because as I said earlier there must have been 150 people there, great disco to finish the night off, many thanks.

San Carlo – Manchester City CentreWe found a parking space outside this place and decided to try it. Our usual is Mughli. All we can say is, after 3 years, we have decided to make this our new regular place. The mix starter and tandoori was filling, we still managed the lamb jalfraizi and chicken mesti....very delicious! We'll be there this weekend!

Radisson SAS Hotel Manchester Airport – Manchester AirportGreat restaurant, they offer the traditional Chinese menus that we're all used to seeing. They also offer some Chinese dishes that you perhaps have never seen, I would recommend you try them, I tried an oyster & clam soup/broth dish, it was very tasty. The style of the restaurant is also very nice the lunch menu is very nice and at a good price, it's slightly more expensive than the norm, but the quality is very high.
Pacific – Manchester City CentreExcellent Chinese, with no complaints. But is it me but i find them all much as a muchness. Although I agree with other comments that red chilli does serve some slightly different dishes. All in all nice little places with great friendly service, and you won? be disappointed.
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreIf you're thinking of going out for a curry then you're probably thinking curry mile or perhaps town if you've got a few bob to part with - well forget it. Forget the questionable hygiene standards in the McDonalds style get em' in and get em' out restaurants in the curry mile and forget getting bad service from cynical waiters who hate their customers in town. The Jai Kathmandu is all you need in a curry house. The food never disappoints and is consistently tasty and obviously cooked in-house with care and attention - even the 'dips'? for the poppadoms are different every time we visit and so obviously not lumped out of a bucket like you might expect on 'the mile'. The naan breads are gorgeous, the curried mackerel fantastic and zhalfrezis exquisite (try the lamb chops also - yum yum). Enjoy the friendly atmosphere, don't expect to be rushed with your meal, have a couple of nice cool beers and leave satisfied.
Jai Kathmandu – NorthendenHad a fab meal at the Persia grill last Saturday, staff were excellent, food was gorgeous, meat succulent and tender, and good size portions. Bring your own wine, but there is a 10% corkage charge definitely going back soon
Persia Grill House – ChorltonAddictive food not laden with MSG, Chocolate or Fat. This stuff even tastes great and a real departure from the overly priced, underly flavoured food in most fast food restaurants. This food tastes great - A WINNER!
