Persia Grill House – ChorltonWe called in one after not being in for years, to find it was under new ownership, Its now has home made food with real chips, its a great Sunday carvery, a good meal deal offer, a 3 course for £6.95 plus a large ala carte to choose from and so nice and clean inside to other times we?e been in. The new owners have only been there approx 16 weeks so ive been told, keep up the good work. its also a family pub
The Waggon and Horses – WesthoughtonThe food is quite authentic Korean. Dessert is really nice, try the green tea ice cream, You will fall in love with it.
Koreana – Manchester City CentreQuite an experience - good food - especially for the adventurous, nice lively atmosphere, excellent service. Ambience - it was packed full of Chinese people enjoying their meals and chatting away Food - two menus - "western" and "Chinese" - I would recommend the Chinese to the adventurous as the meals ordered were delicious and far fresher flavoured that the standard "western" Chinese fare
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreA relaxing favourite for a quick businesspersons' or smart shoppers' lunch, and ideal for a light pre-theatre meal, Croma has been a great restaurant for years. Service is quiet and never pushy. Nice thin pizza bases are very much what you would get in Italy. For a bit less bustle, try to get seated in the small gallery upstairs.
Croma – Manchester City CentreWent out tonight (Monday) with my wife and came upon Chaophraya. What a fantastic restaurant! The staff were superb and really made us feel special. The food was quite literally outstanding. This is the place to go on a monday night! Strongly recommended.
Chaophraya – Manchester City CentreI was in villagio last weekend with friends and i had a wonderful time i would like to recommend this lovely restaurant as a top italian in manchester, i've been a few other occasions and the service and food is just impecable, always with a special attention of the manager that made all of us feel very welcome and had a special night....
Villaggio – Manchester City CentreWas in Villaggio last night very good atmosphere very good food and staff was very pleasant I would definitely recommend this restaurant best one in the village
Villaggio – Manchester City CentreWe visited English Lounge today for Sunday Lunch. Unfortunately they had ran out so we were given another menu. We shared a starter of feta cheese and spinach parcels then main courses of steak frites with onion rings and the hot chicken sandwich. The food was ok but I thought it was slightly expensive at £28 (with 2 1/2 pints of coke) for what it was. The service was good though so I'd like to go back to try the Sunday menu.
English Lounge – Northern QuarterFantastic place to eat. Real chips!!! The food is always fresh and a very high standard. Always busy and the staff work extremely hard to make sure all the customers are happy. Great beer and very clean.
Red Lion – BuryWe went to Piccolino? recently for a meal. The atmosphere was lively and bustling - it was 7.30 on a Friday. The food was amazing- well seasoned and lots of it. The only criticism we have is that we were very rushed. I hadn't even finished my last mouthful of starter when the main course was placed in front of me. We had a starter, main and coffee and were finished in an hour. If Piccolino? could get rid of the maximum cover approach that they quite clearly have this would be the best Italian in town!
Piccolino- Caffe Grande – Manchester City CentreVery very good! Best curry house in Manchester, beats anything on Curry Mile, by a mile!
East z East – Manchester City CentreJust wanted to give a reply to Tim in my defence - The comments on the menu aren't meant to be smug, just quite humorous and an indication of the fact that unlike large chains we are able to inject our own real thoughts and comments into our menu (appealing to many, but not all I agree). Coincidence that you should think the place is like someone's home as when we finished building the place most of our furniture and pictures from home went into the restaurant as our bank pulled out on us at the last minute. Feeling homely was accidental, but has worked for the last 14 years. Finally show me somewhere that's serving their own beasts, butchered by them, with the knowledge of all the food on the plate and we'll not promote the issue so much!
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomI came across this place a few years ago and although I don't live on the doorstep, I visit when I get the chance. Great to see on the last visit (last weekend) that there have been some changes, but there is no decline in quality and the steaks are still brilliant. I don't know of any other restaurateur who can give the name of the animal you are eating, or which field your veggies came from!
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomI regularly visit the Fisherman's Retreat because I like the fact you get good quality home-made food that is cooked well and tastes fantastic. I think it is something to be proud of (and boast about) if you are able to provide customers with freshly prepared traceable produce - more and more people are interested in where their food comes from and what goes into it nowadays - they no longer want to be fed rubbish and the Fisherman's rises to this challenge. I think the restaurant itself is extremely warm and welcoming - the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the owners are normally around to say hi and welcome you to their establishment, and the roaring fires in winter make you want to stay the night! I noticed that someone commented on how the family pictures made the restaurant feel like they were entering someone's home - well in a way they are. The family have built the restaurant from scratch and made it the success it is today - I am proud to be welcomed into their 'home' and thoroughly enjoy looking at the pictures that tell the story of how the place has developed over the years. I hope the restaurant is there to be enjoyed for many more years, and plenty of pictures are taken to remember it all! Thanks.
The Fisherman’s Retreat – RamsbottomBeen here a few times the service is fairly attentive, and friendly. There are special touches like frozen glasses for the beer! The food is fresh and tasty, and I believe if you go early on they still do their earlybird deals.
Caffe Nero – Manchester City CentreMy first experience of Mexican cuisine. I really enjoyed the food. The dishes were simple yet very satisfying and the price was very reasonable.
Barburrito – Manchester City CentreThis is my third visit to Nutters and yet again the food and service was excellent. The hardest thing to do is decide what to choose from the fabulous menu. If i was to offer some criticism it would be that there was no liquid sauce in the centre of my dessert which has happened before. I must say though that when we mentioned this we were given them free, First Class
