Visited the English Lounge after some recommendation from friends, it was a Friday Night, prior to a visit to the local pictures, decided to first read other customers feed-back, after hearing about some good reviews about it on Sugarvine. Was not disappointed had an excellent evening. Was greeted by very friendly waitresses and shown to our seat which was just by the stairs, had a great view out to passing trams. Was spoilt for choice when we saw the menu. After recommendation from the waitress went for the Chicken and Pasta, due to the fact that I knew I would want dips and sweets at cinema. All meals were very tasty and well presented. Sadly had no room left for desserts but looked very good. Will definitely visit again / shame as the film was a total let-down.

Went last night for a meal for my Birthday. I had the rare beef and horseradish salad for starter. The missus had roasted courgettes. Both were superb. Main courses were the Battered Cod and Duck Breast. If only chip shops could serve cod like that I would never need to go to a restaurant again. The overall experience was top-drawer. Well worth a visit.

We have been going to the "Jai" for over 7 years now (ever since getting out of London) either for takeaways or to eat in. The food is without doubt the best Indian food we have ever had. You must try the Lamb Pasanda - to die for. We have introduced friends, relatives and even mother-in-laws to the delights of the Jai, and we are now requested to transport Jai takeaways all over the country when we go to see them. If you haven't already - go try it - you will love it.

I went here for my birthday last July after reading excellent reviews. The dishes received were of a very good standard, and the menu was extensive. We received an attentive, individual service and as my partner and I were having a meal on a special occasion, we felt that the ambience was superb. Definitely worth a visit

Absolutely fantastic. I love picollinos and always though restaurant wouldn't live up to its sister restaurant- I was very wrong as its actually much better! x X x

One word...WOW the best chicken Caesar salad, rosemary potatoes and mushroom risotto I have ever tasted, booked in for 30/09/06 cant wait, go on a regular basis and are always looked after by the manager. Try a glass of Bellini!!! Best Italian restaurant in Manchester.

Lovely British food and really outstanding surroundings. The building is beautiful. Check out the very reasonable wine list with some great choices.

I go to El Rincon on a regular basis, and have to say that this is the best Spanish Tapas I have tasted outside Spain, does remind me of those wonderful days in Spain last year, there gambas pil pil is the best, do try the chicken in paprika sauce of the specials menu...divine!!!! Make sure you visit you wont be disappointed!!!

The food was excellent and the service is excellent.

We first went to El Rincon for my birthday, it was just the two of us and as they don't take reservations for two we decided to wait at the bar with a drink. There were many people waiting up to an hour and it was worth it!!!! The atmosphere, smell and music really tickles all your senses and its topped off with very friendly service and amazing food. El Rincon is like a hidden gem in the streets behind Deansgate...The little Spain of Manchester!!!!

This has to be the best restaurant in Manchester - great food, service and atmosphere. Time for everybody to head towards the southern end of Deansgate for a great night out.

Living in Rusholme, I thought I had tasted reasonable Indian food a thousand times over in the various establishments along the curry mile. But the food here is something else! It may have a modest frontage (blink and you'd miss it) but the quality of food makes it stand out a mile from the others. I have taken the children there several times and the staff are brilliant with them too. Try the Lamb Handi it's wonderful. And the red dip served with the poppadoms is a must-try!

Was here saturday and as usual everything was great. This is the sort of place to come with friends and have a bite to eat and a few drinks rather than a romantic night for 2. The Jazz singer is brilliant and and likes to have a bit of banter with the customers, the food is good and the service is both quick and friendly.

The best Indian ever

This was my first visit and i went along with my wife and 12yr old son. We ordered numerous Tapas and when they arrived we were not disappointed. We were all stuffed by the end of our meal. La Tasca eat you heart out.

This is by far one of the greatest if not the best Indians in Manchester. The service was fantastic, the food was spot on and the atmosphere was great.
