Came from Ireland to see my mum. Really fancied a proper English roast. Was not disappointed. Mum had beef and I had pork. Wow... huge portion and all the trimmings. Despite feeling full I just couldn't put my cutlery down. Must book my next flight over.... obviously to see my mum but more so to grab another roast!!!

We really like this restaurant and have been eating here for many years, even before it changed its name. Staff are great fast and attentive, and food is delicious with a really good choice.

Always busy, service can be a little slow but food excellent and worth the wait

Went on Saturday night with a party of 4. Food was superb and staff were all friendly and helpful. Second time I’ve been and I’ll certainly be going again.

i love the windmill so wanted to come for sunday roast since the refurbishment, The service was excellent the staff were so lovely (we arrived 12.30 ),. The roast dinner arrived and have to say my only one criticism is the meat was pink as i really dislike pink meat(i appreciate it is the correct way but never had it pink before in my many visits) the vegetables were absolutely delicious, Mum had the pork and said it was lovely. the service charge was about what i was going to pay so no shock there and the staff made me aware i was happy to pay, I just hope i can ask when i return if they could cook my meat more :) sorry chef. a lovely meal and deserves 5 star xx

We had a beautiful meal at the fat loaf for my birthday! Definitely a venue for a treat. The restaurant is so pretty and the food/ drinks are amazing value for money. We will definitely be back!

Lovely place to eat. Food is fantastic and staff are amazing . Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere too. There was 9 people and every meal was delicious. Good variety too.

Just WOW! We were in the area for a show in Manchester and the food was absolutely amazing! So tasty and cooked perfectly! All 5 of us said it was the best Italian we have had! The staff were so lovely and friendly, wish we lived closer to return more frequently! Also great value for money don’t have any complaints! Thank you for having us & also been so understanding due to numerous booking changes x

Visited 26th April for my birthday . Very busy Saturday evening. Staff were very pleasant & efficient, food was very good & service was good. House wine was priced about £23 which in this day I think is good. Some places locally are charging £30 + which means I won't go. Overall a great evening. Highly recommended.
