The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA really nice building full of character. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the staff friendly and polite.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeMy partner enjoyed the roast beef meal. The beef was very tasty but I did not like all the ingredients stacked on top of each other. The roast potatoes had no crispy edges and only just cooked and the veg too Al Dante. Very disappointed, shame as the service was very good , attractive pub and the land lord very welcoming.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe came across this pub when we did a walk around the fairy steps in April on our way to the lakes, so on a return to the iakes we booked in for lunch on our way. The food is delicious, 1 ham and eggs and 1 salmon. We both then had brownie with ice cream followed with coffee. The staff are great and friendly. We highly recommend
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeOnce again we enjoyed an excellent meal ay the Wheatsheaf. As usual the staff were great and could not do enough to make the night special. The menu is somewhat limited and it would be good to extend the choice or change some of the dishes on offer.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe staff are great and very helpful. They made us feel welcome from booking in until we left. The food and service were great and nothing was too much trouble. The candlelight atmosphere when we had our evening meal was so relaxing after a long walk. Just what the doctor ordered!

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe came for a Sunday roast! Very disappointed that you only got one slice of beef that was very thin! Once I complained I got a extra slice! For £15 I would expect much more meat to my roast dinner. Very very expensive meal for £15.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeMy wife and I had an evening meal on Friday 3rd June. The staff were very polite, attentive and friendly and made us feel welcome. We were pleased that the pub is dog-friendly, as we had our small well-behaved dog with us - several other customers also had dogs with them and none of them were any trouble - it was nice to see a dog-friendly pub. Nice decor and atmosphere. We both had the steak and ale pie, which was very nice plus some puddings. I tried both the real ales - both of which were excellent. We will definitely come again!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a wonderful meal in this atmospheric pub which was full on a Thursday evening; always a good sign. Great menu. The Tempura Prawns and Chicken Pie were fabulous. The staff are exceptional and so friendly. We’ll stocked bar with good wines by the glass. Excellent selection of Rum! Food was also extremely good value. Would definitely recommend and revisit when the opportunity arises.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe returned to the Wheatsheaf after twenty five years to find it had been tastefully updated and were thrilled that it had lost none of its ambience in the process. The room was fine, clean tidy, comfy bed, meals were excellent from an interesting selection, breakfast superb and staff courteous and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We shall defintely return again.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent meal and service.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had an evening meal here on Friday 27th May. There were 3 of us including my Dad who has mobility issues. We told the Hotel about this in advance and they put us on a nice table just to the left of the entrance door which had plenty of space around it. . The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the veggie option, my wife had the salmon and my dad had the pork ribs. All very well presented and nice and hot. All the food was delicious. The pub was lively and had a good atmosphere, there were some customers with dogs but this not interfere with anything as they were all well behaved. Overall we had a very enjoyable evening.
