Excellent pub atmosphere and very pleasant Sunday roast beef dinner. Staff were charming and all in all a very enjoyable experience in spit of the rainy day.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThis was our second visit here as we enjoyed our visit last year. Very friendly and courteous staff. Good food with nice surroundings. The only downside on a personal level was there weren’t many Vegetarian/Vegan options on the menu.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeI loved it here. The food was excellent, the decor in the Wheatsheaf was lovely( elegant old world) and the staff were friendly. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meal and would love to return - but we live in Yorkshire. We will recommend it to our friends and do hope to return to the area. Oh - and what a pretty location.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeSecond visit here when on holiday in the area - liked it so much the first time we came a year or so back that we decided to return and so glad we did. The food was outstanding and our coeliac nephew was able to enjoy a 3 course gluten free meal which isn’t always possible. Brilliant place.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe came for Sunday Lunch and really enjoyed the meal. The service was excellent and the pub had a good atmosphere.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a very enjoyable meal with friends, food good, but thought the wine was very expensive, l was charged almost £9 for a glass of wine that should have been £6.75 did not realise until we returned home!!!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeEnjoyed my visit. Excellent service. Pleasant ambiance, good food.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe website is excellent, as is the service and food
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA really nice building full of character. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the staff friendly and polite.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeMy partner enjoyed the roast beef meal. The beef was very tasty but I did not like all the ingredients stacked on top of each other. The roast potatoes had no crispy edges and only just cooked and the veg too Al Dante. Very disappointed, shame as the service was very good , attractive pub and the land lord very welcoming.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe came across this pub when we did a walk around the fairy steps in April on our way to the lakes, so on a return to the iakes we booked in for lunch on our way. The food is delicious, 1 ham and eggs and 1 salmon. We both then had brownie with ice cream followed with coffee. The staff are great and friendly. We highly recommend
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeOnce again we enjoyed an excellent meal ay the Wheatsheaf. As usual the staff were great and could not do enough to make the night special. The menu is somewhat limited and it would be good to extend the choice or change some of the dishes on offer.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe staff are great and very helpful. They made us feel welcome from booking in until we left. The food and service were great and nothing was too much trouble. The candlelight atmosphere when we had our evening meal was so relaxing after a long walk. Just what the doctor ordered!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeIt's a lovely setting - a friendly welcome from Andy and lovely service from Laura were both much appreciated; the food was delicious too!! We will return soon
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe came for a Sunday roast! Very disappointed that you only got one slice of beef that was very thin! Once I complained I got a extra slice! For £15 I would expect much more meat to my roast dinner. Very very expensive meal for £15.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeMy wife and I had an evening meal on Friday 3rd June. The staff were very polite, attentive and friendly and made us feel welcome. We were pleased that the pub is dog-friendly, as we had our small well-behaved dog with us - several other customers also had dogs with them and none of them were any trouble - it was nice to see a dog-friendly pub. Nice decor and atmosphere. We both had the steak and ale pie, which was very nice plus some puddings. I tried both the real ales - both of which were excellent. We will definitely come again!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a wonderful meal in this atmospheric pub which was full on a Thursday evening; always a good sign. Great menu. The Tempura Prawns and Chicken Pie were fabulous. The staff are exceptional and so friendly. We’ll stocked bar with good wines by the glass. Excellent selection of Rum! Food was also extremely good value. Would definitely recommend and revisit when the opportunity arises.
