Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and really tasty - cauliflower cheese that actually tasted of cheese and not just warm milk, was a bonus! Service was very good too. All in all, a really good experience. We will be back! Thank you!

Visited the Hopping Hare recently, it was a family get together for dads 93rd birthday, 14 of us in total, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal & had a lovely evening.

An excellent and enjoyable meal, with friendly service, delicious food and a moreish desert. We would very happily eat here again in the future!

Wow where do I start Been a while since I've been to riverside harvester and it was always good. What's happened: The place was filthy ,food left on floor and tables. Tables very sticky Chose from the set meal menu but was then charged full price for all individual items When I complained the girl- Emily, said she would have to call a manager as she was unsure how to refund and there were no managers on site. She was completely confused. We had to wait twenty five minutes and she still didn't know what to do, so I insisted she just give me the overpayment back in cash. Whilst I was waiting for her to sort the situation for me, two more sperate customers complained- one saying that their steak was inedible and the other with a similar issue with their food and suggested that the chef needed to learn how to cook. Although it was terrible service and the whole mistake of the overpayment was then allowed to inconvenience me, the customer, I felt very sorry for Emily as she was clearly out of her depth and it seemed like there was an obvious lack of management on site. While we were sorting my refund out another 3 customers were also complaining I had to ask for the salad bar to be re stocked as it was virtually empty and even when it was re stocked the salad looked old as did the tomatoes The furniture was old and shabby and very dirty with stains on the seats from food and lack of cleaning. The staff looked as if they were still at school and showed in theyre customer service or lack of it. NEVER AGAIN

My wife and I have had several meals and afternoon teas at The Hopping Hare and have never been disappointed. The food and service has always been excellent. We shall be back.

What a wonderful, night, meal and brilliant reception by the staff, its been a long time since I enjoyed a meal as much as I did on our family visit to The Admiral Nelson, the staff were brilliant, the food..lush. 10/10. thank You.

Lovely venue as always to spend time with friends , family or simply alone! Atmosphere is always comfortable even when eating alone. Service is great too. Great value for money given the quality and amount of the food generally. We only had mains and desserts. All the mains were Sunday roasts, two beef, one pork, and a chicken. Plenty of meat, lots of veg (four different types not including potatoes), a big Yorkshire that thankfully wasn’t soggy and the most delicious gravy (I really needed more). The roast potatoes were the only let down, being very dry and hard which we all agreed on. The desserts were outstanding. Two chocolate and hazelnut delices and one lemon tart. Again we all agreed, the desserts were to die for.

We used to come to the admiral Nelson some years ago but like everything time goes by. But we decided to try somewhere different that we hadn’t been for a long time and came Saturday evening, we hadn’t an amazing time lovely atmosphere amazing food and drinks and the staff we met were all so cheerful smiling and I. Good humour we had a lovely time and I would recommend to my friends and family

Always a lovely time at the admiral Nelson. Food great, beer great and a nice warm atmosphere. We don’t bother going anywhere else.

Have visited many times and the food and service is great. I’ll definitely go again.
