Our main course of the local venison and the desserts were outstanding, however the starter of pigeon breast was cold and the over crispy bacon not really needed. The restaurant was very busy with a 30th birthday group. The kitchen staff did really well for the breakfast service which was equally busy as the hotel was pretty full
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonAmazing Sunday dinner, we had the 4 person sharing board , loved every mouthful
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryStarters - overall all were good , mine the pigeon was over cooked Mains - tasted great but cold. This happened the last time. Offered to warm it up but I like my beef pink not overcooked when reheated. Disappointed. And we heard a few other customers make the same complaint
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWe had a Sunday dinner the beef was lovely, very busy, the only problem we had was the vegetables were a bit hard and the wine was very expensive for what it is. But really enjoyed it.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonHad a girly lunch at the Admiral Friday 24 October we all had the cod risotto and it was delicious .
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryBirthday meal, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. The staff were very attentive. Well worth a visit.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonFood is always excellent. Never had a bad meal here. Staff are friendly and the service is very good.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonEnjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration. All the food was absolutely delicious. The desserts are exceptional. Lovely staff too. My favourite restaurant.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonHad a fantastic birthday lunch on Oct 21st. The food was excellent and of a quality that would adorn any high end restaurant. I had the smoked pigeon breast to start and it was very tasty indeed and my only criticism would be it maybe should have been two breasts as one was not quite enough food. I had the duo of lamb for main course and this was exquisite ! I have only been to the hopping hare a couple of times but the food has been excellent.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonSuper meal and brilliant service - will definitely go back
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWe regularly come here for Sunday lunch as their roasts are amazing!! Well worth a visit as service great and such a lovely atmosphere. The beef is succulent, the roast potatoes crispy and the cauliflower cheese cheesy! Absolute delicious gravy. The team are so helpful and professional
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonMy son recently moved to Daventry and on our visits to see him we stumbled across this pub. This visit (Sunday 19th October) was the 2nd time we'd visited the establishment. Sunday lunch ( sharing platter for 4) was great. It's presentation was pretty incredible too. We had a great time. Highly recommend the pub!
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryExcellent food and service as always.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryWe had a fabulous meal at the Admiral Nelson. The BB King burger, which has blue cheese, the best onion ring I've ever had in my life and two beef patties was a divine! I'm not over egging this, it was delicious. The best of all was the atmosphere in the Nelson and the welcome and service we received.
The Admiral Nelson – DaventryWe have eaten at this restaurant a few times now and it’s always absolutely delicious. The quality of the food is exceptional and the presentation is amazing. The chef and the team are brilliant. The service is great also. Will definitely be going back again.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonHeld a wake for my mothers funeral here. It was excellent. The staff were lovely, tea/coffee ready for us on arrival, and food buffet laid out promptly. The food was excellent. A nice ambience. I would highly recommend The Hopping Hare. Thank you.
