The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonTop restaurant in Northampton.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonOur favourite restaurant! Food always delicious and staff are lovely
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWhat a fantastic place! I was very impressed with the level of service from the staff; nothing was too much trouble, very professional and also personable. The food was top notch and very well presented. A great atmosphere and I would thoroughly recommend.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonJust looking for a Sunday lunch and google suggests the “Hopping Hare”. Entered a lovely calm and relaxed atmosphere, greeted warmly and seated promptly. Staff were very welcoming and polite. Opted for the roast beef Sunday lunch. The beef, which could be cut with a wooden spoon , was perfectly served along with an ample selection of veg, served with a jus, so rich and sweet the plate needed nothing more. I definitely will be dining here again. Well done Hopping Hare !!!
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWell what a treat :service was top draw the gentleman who showed us to our table was brilliant attentive in every aspect: nothing too much trouble: now on to the food 3 of us had the roast beef Sunday dinner :wow was absolutely lovely all 3 of us said how lovely it was :I had the sea bass which was nice but for £21 and only 1 small piece that was disappointing. But can honestly say we enjoyed the meal the ambience and wonderful service
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonThe food and service were very good but I was surprised that there were only 2 options of white wine by the glass- Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon blanc. I think given the improved quality of food this now needs to be matched with a greater choice of by the glass wine
The Queens Arms Orlingbury – KetteringAbsolutely fabulous food and service, so good that we booked to go back again.
The Queens Arms Orlingbury – KetteringFamily lunch for mums 83rd birthday. Amazing food, fantastic staff , couldn’t fault from booking to payment. Will be booking again soon. Thank you
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWe had a very special Calibration of a friends life --many thanks to the Chef for outstanding food and to Rosie and her team for awesome service--a wonderful event
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonGreat food, great service, will definitely return again.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonBooked Sunday lunch for my dad’s 80th birthday. Excellent food and service. The staff went out of their way to make it a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonStayed here as a break of journey on the way to the Lake District. The hotel is fine but the restaurant is a standout, especially given the modest prices. Definitely a cut or two (or three!) above even very good pub food, and into genuine restaurant territory. Warm runny Scotch Egg starter exemplary. Lamb rumb main ingenious and wisely used in-season asparagus. The white chocolate eclair for dessert, however, was the absolute superstar. I will return just for this or for any similar creation! Definitely will return, probably on my very next Lake District trip this or next year. Oh, some pretty impressive bottles too, also at reasonable prices, on the wine list. I had a very satisfactory Chianti indeed. Service both friendly and swift. It's a fairly standard - though pleasant - dining space, but the atmosphere, no doubt influenced by a proportion of local fans, was quietly buzzy even on a Tuesday evening. I would be pleased to find a restaurant this good in London where I live, and I'm sure I would be paying considerably more for the privilege.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWhat a super place. Intelligent staff with proper menu and wine knowledge. Lovely main and desert food. Thank you so much. Return visit.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonGreat pub, lovely food, friendly staff. Only negative was that the family seated next to me were racist and that spoilt the atmosphere for us as a family so probably won’t be back.
The Queens Arms Orlingbury – KetteringWent for a meal with a couple of friends and as always the food was amazing. Would always recommend The Hopping Hare and the food is always on par.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonAlways a pleasure to eat at Hopping Hare with the marvellous and attentive staff. My pork loin was delicious and my companion enjoyed the chicken dish - only marred by undercooked Dauphinoise potatoes which we were informed the kitchen was apologetic for. Otherwise, very pleased with speed of service, even though they had a full house on the day!
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonThird visit since Tomas took over the Royal George. Best meal yet! Service from our waiter, Ella, was really good. Greeted by Tomas when we arrived. His bread as always fantastic. Our mains and desserts really nice - lamb rogan Josh especially good with nice heat and lamb melt in the mouth. Looking forward to our next visit.
