Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

A frequent visitor here, I have always had a great experience. Fantastic, freshly cooked food with spices you can taste. Friendly, attentive staff. Anyone I have taken has been impressed. Make sure you book early!!

Fantastic place to unwind and relax especially after hearing the 5* ratings the restaurant received from the Health regulations. Nowhere in Preston is known for 5* quality in health and hygiene. i would recommend The Double Tree to everybody. Prestons finest by far!

October 2011. Tried to find a different place for lunch but being unimpressed with alternatives we returned to my wife's favourite Deli-Med. Tasty wholesome homemade soup and a hot sandwich were just right. Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I ate at Pond on Friday night, it was the first time we had been there since it moved. having a hard time picking from the menu we decided to opt for the 'banquet for two'. at the point of ordering we were shown the banquet for 4 menu which had a good mix of basic tapas dishes and premium (steak, prawns etc) and were told that the banquet for 2 was very similar with just a few dishes less. what we got were 6 very basic dishes, with no premium ones included. when we complained about this (and were due to pay £45 for this) the manageress seemed very 'put-out'. she disappeared for 10 minutes and came back with an obviously freshly printed banquet for 2 menu which had all the dishes we had eaten on and one more. funny how they couldn't find one before we ordered. in relation to the missing dish we were asked "do you still want this?", to which we replied well we are paying for it!!! most of the food appeared to have been warmed through with varying degrees of efficiency in a microwave and i still can't get over how they can present about 25pence worth of vegetables sauteed in oil with a few herbs and tell you that it is worth between £6 and £8. nothing was inedible but the lack of value for money couldn't help but leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. Preston really needs some good eateries and this isn't helping.

My first visit to the restaurant since it opened - in the company of some great friends. First class throughout - right from the mixed starter through to the mater poneer, the bindi and the wonderful prawns. The decor is of an exceptional standard, the service very attentive - the bathrooms of an excellent standard. Worth a more frequent visit !

One of the worst restaurants i have to say....its not an Indian restaurant..its a Bangladeshi restaurant ..the food tastes awful .Do not go to this restaurant.. The Owner attitude stinks..and he does not know how to treat people..Avoid this restaurant at any cost...The food is over priced and check your bill as the manager/Owner tries to double up the price on the bill...

Angels must go to the top of your list of places to experience fine dining. A true jewel for pleasant and friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail. The head chef truly knows his craft. The food was first class. Every course, perfectly prepared and presented. A pleasure. This makes for a very special evening which we will be very happy to share with family and friends very soon . Thank you to all at Angels.

A wonderful place to enjoy an evening, whatever the size of your party. Friendly and attentive service. Fabulous range and quality of food, each course, superbly complementing the others. A great selection of wines. All served in a contemporary and comfortable setting. A real treat for those looking to eat well and have your senses pleasantly stimulated. Expect to leave with a smile on your face!

Had a lovely time at Tino's a few weeks ago. The food and whole experience is always very good but the last time we went the service was especially wonderful. The waiters were professional but relaxed and made us feel very welcome in the restaurant! The house white wine was also gorgeous.....please don't change! Well done Tino's and hope to be back soon!

I meant to leave this review after I first visited earlier this year with my partner, June-ish. It's been a long time since I have been so impressed with a restaurant. I could not fault it in any way at all - the decor was of good quality, service was prompt and efficient without brusqueness, food was heavenly, good portions and I got a rose at the end - nice touch. Our bill was ever so slightly pricey, but it was well worth it. We're visiting again tonight, this time with children. This place is definitely my favourite restaurant in Preston so far.

Sunday 11th September 2011 was our second cruise and dine on the restaurant boat and will definitely not be our last. We treated my husband's parents to celebrate their retirement. It's just absolutely lovely. Sunday lunch with a difference. The food and service is absolutely fabulous. We would highly recommend.
