This is the second time we have eaten here in the last few weeks and the standard of food was excellent both times. The service is good , friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Would certainly recommend it.

The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely surroundings and great food. The Christmas dinner was outstanding. The service is excellent and they took into account our specific seating needs. We have been several times before and will certainly be returning.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallPros: great food, good drinks menu, most staff are friendly. If you want middle aged rowdy, rather than fake ID rowdy with the kids in the bars further down, it’s ideal. Downside: deafeningly noisy. Having to talk loudly all through your meal so the person next to you can just about hear you, is draining. Also, it’s small plates that come in waves, and our sultry waiter just placed the new plates he brought on top of the old ones, rather than taking them away, until it was such a cramped mess, we cleared some of it away ourselves and put them on the bar. Bear in mind this venue is a bar as well as a restaurant, and there’s no real divide between the two, so avoid weekend evenings if you’re looking for a relaxing meal out.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe loved it at A'Vucciria. We chose 5 dishes between two of us, plus dessert and I thought that was perfect. We recommend the bruschetta and lamb, although we enjoyed every dish! Very good service and the cocktails where also delicious. What a little gem, we will definitely be back!
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe have been to this establishment 3 times in the past month. Every time it just gets better. Great service and excellent food. Also, you get great portions at a reasonable price. Well pleased customers.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallExcellent food. Plenty of choice. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Good value for money.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallReally lovely atmosphere and beautiful food. The cheese and onion pie is one of the best around and the sticky toffee pudding is Devine. Each time I have been it's been a lovely experience well done.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely food and choices, although not for the weaker wallet just under £100 for the two of us including wine. The atmosphere was good, although it was very busy meaning our table wasn't ready and it was super noisy. Service was mixed in that the order taker and the female server were great, chatty but efficient. However the young male server needs more training as he was so softly spoken it was difficult to understand what he was saying and just literally put each dish on the further corner of the table, no attempt to arrange these sharing dishes to make them accessible to both of us. That's more an observation and I'm sure easily rectified. They missed one of the ordered dishes, which was probably ideal as we'd clearly over ordered. Anyway a lovely relaxed meal.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallAbsolutely unbelievable place you won't get better the choice is amazing
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallFirst visit here and they were excellent. Word of warning it's a very busy bar as well as a restaurant but didn't stop our enjoyment of the wonderful food.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallA warm welcome is always guaranteed. Good wine list with reasonable prices. The food was amazing and delicious. The restaurant was very busy which is a testament in itself. Every time we’ve dined here we start planning the next visit.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallGreat meal, special pie with Stilton delicious, lovely relaxed meal.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallService excellent and food was fabulous too!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe booked a table as we had a guest visiting from overseas. Lovely atmosphere, seated near the fireplace so toasty warm on a freezing night outside. Good food and plenty of it, with excellent service! Only downside, we were too full to squeeze in a pudding! Oh well, we will just have to visit again...
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallAbsolutely superb food and wine. Lovely atmosphere and good people. Always looked after and the food is always the best standard. Highly recommended
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallMyself and my friend wanted some good pub grub food and based on past experience we decided to visit the Whichaff. Unfortunates our experience was very disappointing. The food was not how it use to be and I felt it was a very quick service as if the table was wanted back.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallThird time we’ve visited, the first time the food was dreadful, not cooked, cold or not as described, would be some of the comments. However the second and third times the food us been excellent, well presented exactly as it was described with some great tastes and textures, both times one dish was forgotten which is a slight shame as both times it arrived once we had raised the issue and eaten most of our other dishes, 8 dishes for 3 people felt about right. Couple of points that need addressing, it’s not a kids playground so children running around and being quite noisy should be addressed, it can spoil the evening. The staff need to be slightly more attentive to tables that are dining, we literally had to wave or shout to order more drinks or fact get any attention to our table, no upselling and no knowledge of the food and wine on the menu is not doing you any favours. All in all a decent evening but an3.5 out of 5 rating…..
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallLovely meal and friendly staff as always, thank you
