We visited Saturday evening with a table for four Great service even though it was very busy. Excellent food again, best cheese and onion pie always.

First time visit after refurbishment, more than pleasantly surprised. The decor was very tasteful with a lovely atmosphere. The food was absolutely fabulous, great choices and well priced. We had main courses and sweets and all were cooked to perfection and the presentation was first class. Will be revisiting often.

Absolutely delicious food and beautiful place ,very good value .We did notice quite a few dirty tables that weren't clean and even saw one table being wiped clean by a new diner . Also we saw at least two customers vaping at the table and nothing was said which is poor.

Second visit last night here last night after the first time being really impressed. Again, service was excellent, staff are very friendly and attentive, nothing is ever a problem when asking or requesting anything. Really please to find a place locally to me that has a separate plant based menu. Most places nearby only have one or two options. These have a seperate plant based and vegetarian menu which was amazing. I had the vegan satay and it was lush! Reasonably priced too, definitely a place to go for a well deserved treat!

My friend and I enjoyed a leisurely catch-up lunch on Thursday, sharing one of the lunchtime platters, which included a glass of wine each. The food was excellent and the service very good. We sat in a window booth and, while there was a good atmosphere, it was quiet enough to have a conversation and not feel too hectic.

Excellent meal on Saturday evening with my parents and husband. But very, very noisy and cramped… Saturday is the busiest time to be fair, originally assigned to a table downstairs next to bar, very, very busy area! Then, my thanks to lovely person who let us know a better place upstairs for 4 of us to try have a conversation in BSL/speech and really enjoyed the delicious meal!

Lovely evening dining at the Whitchaff catching up with a friend. Staff were polite and friendly. Food was tasty (we had starter, main, pudding).

Went to Whitchaff with 2 friends. Haven’t been there for years. We all thoroughly enjoyed our mealsGreat choice of menus including vegetarian . Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will go back.
