Great pub food and a wide variety to choice from, including the specials! The atmosphere was buzzing especially for a Monday evening. Loved the new refurb too. Fabulous!

Never disappoints! Food is soooo good, drinks lovely and service is great. Our favourite place!

Went for my dads birthday, the food was ok nothing special like what I expected. Service was shocking, meals came and we had no cutlery, I had to ask 3 times for the sauce for the steak, it was ordered with the meal. At the end of the meal they clear 2 out of the 5 plates and left the rest for ages. We had to ask 10 mins later for the dessert menu then waited ages for them to take the order. For the price of the food we would expect more attention to the little things. I have received a lot better service in other places. Used to enjoy going here but not sure I would return.

Always a great dining experience lovely setting great staff always ready to help and have fun at the same time food really great all together a great time.

We visited yesterday (party of 5, 24/06/2023) for a belated fathers day lunch. The greeting, service received and food and drinks were all fantastic. We thought the food was excellent and we all really enjoyed what we had. The staff here are very attentive, professional & friendly. The staff went over & above to ensure we enjoyed our visit.

We had a party of six to celebrate Pat’s birthday Everyone enjoyed themselves All the staff were good polite and efficient and the food was enjoyed by everyone We’ve been before and no doubt will go again The request to leave the table after two hours is irritating but again was not an issue and was quite rightly not applied Till next time Pete

Really lovely place. We have been a few times recently with different friends/family and everyone has really enjoyed it. Can’t recommend it enough.

I went on Father’s Day. It was busy. Food was very good and was served hot. The hospitality was not that I expected. They were not as friendly as I would expect. I did assume this was down to them being busy. I will give it another go to see.

We ordered the lunch time special meat sharing platter with 2 glasses of wine. It was wonderful (as always) and everything was delicious. All the ingredients were very fresh and there was plenty there for 2. I'm already looking forward to going back soon!

Food and service very good although some items on the menu are quite expensive.

Food was delicious however dissappinted with portion size for the price. It was also very off putting to see the waiter that was slicing the cured meats, eating it as he was plating ours up. No gloves and then putting his hand right over his mouth to try to secretly eat the meat. Then went on to continue to add to our platter, very unhygienic and unprofessional.

Had a very tasty lunch at the Whitchaff. Service was good despite the extreme temperatures. Highly recommend the peppered steak with walnut and pear salad. All meal were of a high standard.
