Nice restaurant and good food
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAnother fantastic meal at Cafe Fish, despite us being vegetarian this is without doubt our favourite place to eat on Mull. Tasty, colourful imaginative food which never disappoints. Parmesan and spinach potato cake absolutely delicious, book in advance as so popular. Staff so lovely and friendly and helpful.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeGreat vegetarian options as well as seafood. While my husband had fantastic caviar and an oyster to start, followed by a half lobster - I had the leek and potato cake and vegetarian Tom Yum soup. The flavours were incredible, so tasty and a treat to have something different. Top tip though, wear clothes that you're not planning on wearing again for your trip. The smell of fish really does stick to everything!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe had lunch as usual my cousin had the steak pie which was cold I had the macaroni which was olso cold and clumped together and tasted bland the chips were olso just warm this is the second time this had happened we did tell the waitress who must have told another lady who took our drinks price of the bill they really need to up their game or we won’t b going back
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingBest meal we had on our trip in Scotland! We made a reservation for a second night while still at the restaurant it was that good! An absolute must visit if you like seafood.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeMeal was fine. Nice scampi and chips, very plentiful..however, no nice welcoming smile from a waitress who looked very unhappy, and I felt stuck at a dark table in the (empty) dining room! Sorry, but not happy with the ambience within the Golden Lion which is a place I always loved. What has happened to training standards and the reputation of a fine establishment?? Disappointed.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWent for lunch after not visiting for a while. Took advantage of the half price Wednesday deal. The food was ok (not anywhere as good as it was last time - fish was mainly greasy batter and the pastry in the steak pie was undercooked) but the choice was limited. I felt very sorry for the poor woman who was working the bar as she was alone and it was really busy. She had to start turning away customers because the kitchen was too busy. Ate in the bar because I had my dogs with me. Previously, I have always been made to feel very welcome with my pups but one woman (not the one serving me) was really rude about the fact one of them was sitting beside the table and not under it, telling me to get my dog out of her way. Overall, I was disappointed. As someone who used to visit often, I don’t plan on rushing back.
Ravelston House – EdinburghWhat a fantastic place to eat in Tobermory. Wonderful location, welcoming and efficient staff and a wide ranging menu. There were 4 of us in our party and we all really enjoyed our selected dishes which were beautifully cooked. We will be back.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeYet another amazing dining experience at Cafe Fish. We’ve been coming for years and it always delivers. Hot seafood platter was exceptional again. Great friendly service too!!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe enjoyed the meal and loved the environment so much. Service is also good enough. Highly recommended!
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingTrès bon. Beaucoup de choix de poisson et fruits de mer frais.

Ravelston House – EdinburghWe went for breakfast with our Groupon voucher on arrival waitress was very friendly lovely welcome and attentive to us. We upgraded our breakfast to larger one and it was delicious.teas and coffee at beginning of breakfast . Waitress made sure throughout that we were ok. Lovely time thank you
Ravelston House – EdinburghExcellent seabass.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThe most amazing shellfish platter I’ve ever had. Delicious.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and Butejust a great place for lunch or small function
Ravelston House – EdinburghIncredibly disappointing. Purchased a voucher online and was told I was not able to use it when my family and I turned up to our booking. The booking had been made via the voucher and met all conditions/details in small print. Ended up having to leave with my two small children after a wasted journey. Both of them were hungry and one was crying. Emailed the restaurant on the back of this to express my disappointment and received no reply. Avoid.
Ravelston House – EdinburghAlways fabulous! A treat on our frequent trips to lovely Mull. Gorgeous shellfish and a huge selection…..thank you as always!
