Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsWe had an excellent meal. Lovely atmosphere and very helpful and cheery staff. The scallops for a starter and the lobster for main was well worth it.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and Shetlandseasy to book, nice atmosphere, well cooked steaks, tasty and good portion. No complaints! Lovely glass of wine too. We looked for a restaurant serving steak and that's what we got, good value in our opinion. We would eat here again thanks.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowFood was edible and tasty but the menu needs a revamp. Not a lot of choice for anything non burger or steak related. Menus look old and dated. Staff are very attentive and friendly. So handy for seeing a show at the Kings.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowBang bang chicken starter was lovely. Arribiata and phili steak baguette mains were disappointing . Chips cold. Staff nice and attentive.
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowNice atmosphere and lovely food, good value too.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsTasty food, subtle flavours, no over salting. Lobster dumplings were "absolutely fabulous" so were the scallops. Curried cullen skink? Who would have thought it? Full marks. Meat eaters very satisfied with the lamb and pureed potatoes. Plumb puddings which did not require the use of a thumb were delicious. Good wine selection, We chose he NZ sauvignon blanc which did not disappoint. Staff very attentive without being overbearing, coupled with a relaxed unstuffy atmosphere made for an excellent evening. Would I go again? Yes, but it's a long way from Cumbria.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsHad booked afternoon tea for myself and two friends and was very disappointed. The 3 tier stand arrived with a sandwich each that was cut into 4 triangles, a selection of mini cakes then a scone each on top! Their was a vegetarian option and her sandwiches consisted of two triangles with cheese and pickle on them and two with only lettuce and tomato on them! Was really very poor considering this cost us just under £16 per person! Definitely not value for money and nothing I would recommend!
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingBeen several times over the years. Very seldom disappointed. It was very nice food and Good value.
Ravelston House – EdinburghSuper little restaurant tucked away in Stromness, with nice vibe and excellent food. A cut above most of the other local pub fare.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsA small but really interesting menu with exciting flavours and simply the best fish and seafood we had on Orkney - the lobster was cooked to perfection. Everything was beautifully presented. Intimate and welcoming atmosphere combined with great service wonderful food and good wine made it a really special meal out.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsFirst time here n will defo be back. Everything was lovely and would recommend. Thanx for a lovely evening
Steak and Cherry – GlasgowThe scallops in miso sauce were delightful, as was the lobster. However, my husband had the lamb which was rather on the salty side, and the potato purée was too smooth, and would have benefited from a bit more texture. It's always worth bearing in mind that the customer can always add salt but not take it away.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsWhat an unexpected treasure to find in a hidden corner of Stromness where we passed a most convivial evening and appreciated the encouragingly limited menu and very discerning wine list. We particularly enjoyed the seafood dumplings, bathed in a most interesting and unusual sauce, and the hand-dived Orkney scallops, also served with a delicious and subtle sauce, and all most beautifully presented. An expensive treat, but worth the money, and the chef deserves at least a Michelin 'Bib'. We wish you every success in the future!
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsWe had a delicious meal. The flavours were fantastic and the fusion of Orkney produce and Korean cuisine worked so well. The dishes were also well presented and portion sizes for the mains were generous. We will definitely be back! Friendly service too with all staff working well as a team.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsDelicious meal as always, thank you.
Hamnavoe – Orkneys and ShetlandsTables booked for 18 people Good service Good food Staff interacted, listened & assisted in taken pictures for us The group had no complaints about the food or staff. Some back ground music would have been nice But overall our experience was good
Ravelston House – EdinburghFood was amazing! Tasted great, hot and fresh. Atmosphere was lovely and restaurant was very clean and we had a great table. Service was okay- we felt a bit rushed at the end as were asked if we wanted to pay rather than look at desserts etc and were sort of forgotten about once seated and after about 5-10 minutes had to ask for menus.
Ravelston House – Edinburgh2 courses for £16. Available Monday to Friday until 7pm.
