Lovely food and staff can’t fault it definitely back for more

As always the food is excellent. You can choose whether you want certain items or not and the service is brilliant. Great place to eat and the prices are first class.

My daughter and I had our lunch on Monday 23/2/26 and had a lovely time, staff are all so friendly and helpful service is quick and efficient our food was incredible HUGE portions i had chicken parmessan and my daughter had rump steak both were absolutely beautiful. Home cooked chips are the best we will definately return great place great people exceptional value for money

Second visit for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Table booked for 12.15 and aeeiv s on time. Shown to table and ordered drinks and meal and was eating by 12.20. Opted for the rump beef which was absolutely gorgeous and my wife went for the feather blade beef which she said was equally as nice. Altogether a lovely meal in lovely surroundings served by very polite and efficient staff. My new favourite place to eat.

Keeping up their Number 1 on best restaurants in South Shields takes some doing but is well deserved. We enjoyed both of our mains and service was excellent as ever. Had to book as it’s that popular.

Had a lovely two course Sunday dinner. Very nice with excellent attentive service received. Highly recommended!

Fab place great food and very friendly staff

Was down from Glasgow to see family and we had a lovely lunch at The Harbour Lights. Staff are excellent - even called me to check I had the right Harbour Lights and not the one near Glasgow :-) We had a reserved table and I would recommend that you book in advance as they were really busy. Staff were attentive and friendly... food was tasty and good sized portions. The fish and chips and steak pie and chips were our choices... all get thumbs up :-) Will definitely be back next time I'm in South Shields.

A lovely warm welcome by very friendly staff , and the fire on a cold Friday night was an a lovely surprise, we call for steak night and it was fabulous with pepper sauce and the chips delicious . Jam sponge pudding and custard for afters, (with two spoons )all the food was excellent, we would recommend it , husband was pleased with the beer too.

Lovely welcoming place. Service is excellent, food is hot and fresh. Plenty of choice. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Went for Dinner on 18th February. Took to our seats as the table had been reserved. Waitress came and took the drinks order then came and took the food order. She was polite and courteous throughout. The meal was delicious and everything was hot. Well worth the visit and will definitely be back .

Have regular meals at this establishment and have never been disappointed. This meal was a family get together to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Staff as usual are very friendly and competent. Would thoroughly recommend you try a meal here. Good value for the money

Best place in South Shields for any meal, top service, staff are very friendly, recommend anybody to visit this place.

We visited for Sunday lunch & as always, the food was excellent. Beautifully cooked Featherblade & Roast beef were the choices, which were tender & tasty with plentiful veg & lots of variety. We have been coming for several years & the Sunday roasts never disappoint, it is always very busy but the staff are so pleasant & always accommodating. You must book or be disappointed, long may they continue.

I met up with friends at The Harbour Lights ⁰on Monday 16th January for a belated catch-up. One friend opted for the Baked potato with Marie rose prawns, and my other friend and myself opted for the gammon. The Baked potato was covered in a very generous portion of prawns whilst the gammon was served with egg, pineapple, black pudding, mushrooms and chips. It was all absolutely delicious. The staff are very polite and attentive. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub,fabulous friendly staff,amazing breakfast which is fantastic value. I would reccoment this place to anyone
