I love Site, been quite a few times over the years and it never disappoints. Always great food and atmosphere. Always made to feel welcome.

We took our camper van up to the Shepherds Rest and parked on the reasonably level car park. Loads of space Had a delicious meal comprising of Crispy halloumi fries with chilli dip to start followed by salt and pepper surf and turf. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the salt and pepper chips very tasty We then shared a dessert of parkin and treacle toffee ice cream sundae The staff were attentive and friendly All in all a lovely evening Would highly recommend

we visited site on Saturday 4th November we had a lovely time and the food was perfect. my partner had the lasagne which was both delicious and plentiful, a really good portion. I had the napolitana pizza this was equally tasty. a bottle of wine and two negronis rounded off a great visit which fell on my birthday so I could not have asked for a nicer evening.

The food was gorgeous and views were amazing , a lovely restaurant . We thoroughly enjoyed our visit , and would definitely return and recommend to friends and family .

Very busy due to fell running competition but service was excellent. Food quality not compromised either. Excellent. Would definitely rebook.

What a fabulous place this is! We had a lovely meal last night. We shared Focaccia to start then we all had pizzas. Each pizza was beautifully cooked and so tasty! The Pinot Grigio which was absolutely spot on too. Cosy laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. Wish we lived closer!!

Food and service were both spot on. Lovely location. We stayed overnight in our campervan and walked round Geddings dam the morning after. Plenty of other trails just over the quiet road from the pub.

We had a lovely evening, the service was really good, all staff friendly. The pizzas were amazing and the cocktails were delicious. We will defiantly return in the future.

Lovely evening with a party of 10. Great service and lovely food. The booking was easy and great communication getting our food order in before the evening. Maybe some low music for background noise when not many diners in. Just for atmosphere. Softer lighting. Just ideas not criticism.

My wife and I have dined at Shepherds Rest on a number of occasions and have always believed the food to be of great quality. Normally, we would both have the Sunday roast and it never disappoints . The pork is moist and the mash nicely seasoned and rich. Add to this the marvellous yorky puds, greens and the memorable gravy and you have an excellent Sunday lunch. The only disappointment on this one occasion was the very slow service.

Lovely service and amazing food.

Food was lovely and the staff were really but the wait for food or taking our order was just too long. We did go on a Sunday and it did seem busy so I will give it another try

Fabulous place, gorgeous pizza and wonderful desserts. Great atmosphere, lovely staff.

We stayed the night in our campervan in the large carpark, great location for a pub stopover. Lovely pub and the food was amazing. Views to die for and dog friendly.

The food was delicious and just what we fancied after our long walk. The wait for food was well over an hour, no one informed us of the wait. One of us asked for no mushy peas but it came with them and it was on top of the fish and chips, we didn’t complain because we couldn’t be bothered waiting even longer. We had to wait another 5 mins for our veg. We had to ask for everything including cutlery.
