Last minute booking, so glad we came! 4 of us had a wonderful meal, the shepherds pie was outstanding! Service was spot on, warm & cosy setting on a winters day. Will be returning again soon!

Went in this Sunday lunch time. Service was absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. Also really accommodating with our toddler who they were happy to do a special half size portion for. I've been coming here for years the food is always great.

An absolute gem of a place! Been here several times and have never been disappointed. Fabulous food, good variety of drinks and pleasant staff.

It's a shame that the service was so poor because the food was really tasty. We were put in a back room/bar area away from the restaurant and all the servers seemed to forget about us. We didn't get served for over half an hour until we went to the bar to ask for service. We were then made aware we were given the wrong menu. We were told our drinks would be knocked off the bill due to the service issues. However they never were. The food came and it was delicious but the first time a server came over to check on us 75% on the way through the meal and we had never received the roast potato's on the Sunday lunch board. He said he would 'sort something' for the trouble. By the time we finished we were a bit fed up so asked for the bill as we didn't get anything 'sorted for us'. The drinks were still on the bill and had not been removed.

Lovely lad served us very attentive and extremely polite. Food was delicious lovely pub will be back.

Been coming to Site since it first opened. Brilliant, friendly, super attentive staff and amazing food. Never had a bad experience there and doubt I ever will. See you again soon.

Both me and my wife really enjoyed our meals, I had the shepherds pie, which was fantastic and my wife had the halloumi burger which she said was nice too. The staff were very polite and professional. Would highly recommend going and we will be going again and again. I didn't take the free drink as i was driving, maybe next time though!

Visited on a Friday early evening with our 2 children and small dog. The service was really friendly and thr food was fantastic - would definitely recommend.

Amazing experience from start to finish! Had the goats cheese starter followed by the Salt & Pepper Rump Steak. Brought our dog, my friend had the Meatballs then burger and it was all amazing. Tried the homemade twix ice-cream sundae and it was sooo good! Would highly recommend

Fantastic food with exceptional table service

Can’t believe we haven’t been before! Lovely courtyard dining, vine trees and lovely atmosphere, feels very Italian . Great staff, amazing food and good value

Great country pub, generous home made food, good selection of wines. Really enjoyed staying at The Shepherds Rest Inn over night as they allow campervans to park for one night if you have a meal in the pub. This was great, fantastic spot to enjoy hiking in the beautiful hills and reservoirs around. Thank you.

We visited yesterday for our daughters birthday, thought it would be the best place to lunch with our Grandson as we've been several times before & it didn't disappoint. The food and service are excellent. We would definitely recommend
