We love visiting The Vic, always a nice atmosphere, cheerful staff and good food. I find the music a bit overwhelming, all over the place. It's nice by the river for this reason, no loudspeakers there. There's a great children's play area, great for a family group. I like the big pine trees too, the garden space is very extensive.

Everything perfect

Had a simply wonderful meal at the Victoria Inn. The chilli and the chicken and almond curry were not just delicious but also very nicely presented, making them feel special. The rocky road stack is the most mouthwatering dessert we’ve had in ages! Lovely setting, very friendly and efficient staff. Only minor gripe is we would have preferred the garden without music being piped outdoors - just the sound of the river and birds are plenty. Thank you - we’ll be back very soon!

Good Service. The food was absolutely lovely! Would definitely eat and stay there again. Perfect.

We visited for Sunday lunch, which was so good we returned on Bank holiday for lunch, which was fantastic, Garlic pizza and king prawn tagliatelle

We very much enjoyed our meal at "The Vic" and as always there was a great choice of food, my partner chose a special, and I had a steak. We couldn't fault the food or the wine (we had a glass each) and the service was excellent, the staff do seem to work very very hard and we are very grateful for their attentive service. We will be back.

As we regularly pop in for food it’s always lovely, just a shame there are too many dogs around especially when their owners let them eat from one of your pie dishes, which is totally out of order

Booked on line .Arrived early sat outside for drinks. Inside for food. food and service excellent. Cosy atmosphere, staff always friendly. Sunday lunch awesome and value for money! Dog friendly which is always a bonus!!

Always a lovely relaxed atmosphere and great service. Eat here a lot and my only area for improvement would be a more varied menu as we’ve had everything so many times!

Tasty variety of dishes, friendly staff, lovely relaxed setting for big family birthday weekend. Good selection of veggie/vegan options. Special recommendations from our party for the sea bass, the greens risotto and the lemon posset. Set price menu great value.

Fantastic pub, great food, brilliant service ! Have a lovely beer garden with great play area for the kids …. Whenever we are in the area we book a meal there ! Book in advance it’s POPULAR

Went for a catch up with friends on 27th April 2023 in their dining area.....the staff were so friendly and accomodating and gave us plenty of options for vegetarian and Gluten Free food......the lunchtime saver was such good value at £12 for 2 courses and £15 for 3 courses......the food was amazing - nice and hot and tasty and just enough to fill you up but not make you uncomfortable.......we love it there cos they never rush you to leave the table so we were able to chat for hours.......the car parking is good and the atmosphere is relaxing and calm...we will definetly go back time & time again, especially if their cavery returns mid week...thank you.

We booked a table for my work leaving meal on the 14th April 2023. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or attentive. Food arrived promptly and it was all hot and very tasty! They managed to get all 21 meals correct, even with a few requests thrown in (no coleslaw, fries instead of chips etc) and everything was spot on. Plenty of space for everyone and the restaurant was very clean. I would definitely come back.
