Bull Hotel – AbergeleJust found this restaurant in Llanwrst. What a delight. Open plan cooking great staff delicious food at reasonable prices
Amorn Thai Restaurant – Betws-Y-CoedStayed for a week recently at the Groes Inn, on a half board basis. We stay here regularly and can thoroughly recommend it. Great ambiance, excellent rooms, friendly and helpful staff and good food and wine. An excellent Inn for a base in North Wales, relaxing to return to after a days sightseeing and touring Snowdonia. We are returning again this year for another few days.
The Groes Inn – ConwyFabulous food, despite we do not normally eat Indian Food,we will be doing so now! Well presented' Staff very pleasant. Unfortunately we have no 'ZEERA' to visit in our town.
Zeera – Llandrindod WellsFirst, the area is one of stunning beauty, with breathtaking walks within yards of the House. Second, the House itself is wonderfully welcoming, from its hosts to its tangibly friendly atmosphere. Then there is the spacious but homely lounge, and the beautifully-appointed bedrooms. Finally, there is the restaurant and the food - the latter creatively presented, and outstandingly enjoyable and tasty... I have spent heavily in famous London restaurants, and nothing has matched this. And breakfasts, too, come with that same distinctive touch and taste. Recommended for a stay, recommended for meals, recommended too for group stays or weddings - where it's quite obvious that everything would be laid on to as high a standard as one could wish for.
Sychnant Pass House – ConwyThe Royal Ship Hotel is a great venue for us foodies as It offers seasonal specialities (currently finely cooked asparagus) in addition to the varied main menu. The food is consistently to a high standard and taste buds can't fail to be satisfied. The owners Bernard and Angela are friendly and enthusiastic..A particular favourite of ours is the autumn seafood festival for which Bernard has won awards. We frequently enjoy a meal and a bottle of wine chosen from the excellent wine list. .The Ship is a great favourite of ours !
Royal Ship Hotel – DolgellauWe had freshly caught sea bass at the Lobster Pot on 1st June 2011 and we can honestly say it was the best sea-food meal we can remember. The fish was so fresh it almost jumped off the plate; The vegetables perfect together with the starter, desert. and wine. The service was most professional, and the ambiance just right. There is a good sea view if you choose the right table. It was not cheap; £67 for 3 courses for 2 people including wine, but you get what you pay for! Altogether a very memorable place.
The Lobster Pot Seafood Restaurant – HolyheadSPENT A WEEK IN RED WHARF BAY MIDDLE OF MAY 2011, ATE IN THE OLD BOATHOUSE AND UPSTAIRS 6 TIMES. EXCELLENT, THEY DO BREAKFASTS AS WELL.
The Old Boathouse – AngleseyWe've just spent our Bank Holiday weekend at Sychnant Pass Country House. Thoroughly enjoyed it - beautiful rooms, delightful sauna & swimming pool, stunning hill walks, and lovely relaxed atmosphere in the lounge over a pre-dinner drink. And the chef! He's a hidden gem. I have not eaten such tasty and beautifully presented meals in London in years. Menus change daily, but if you get the chance, don't miss the hake on spinach; stripped lamb; and his home-made chocolate brownies. To die for!
Sychnant Pass House – ConwyMy wife and I regularly dine at the Royal Ship Hotel. We like the food, we like the way the proprietors and staff are always welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our most recent visit was last Sunday lunch time when we sampled the special Asparagus Week menu. As usual the meal was excellent. We can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal at the Ship and we would recommend the Ship to anyone.
Royal Ship Hotel – DolgellauUnbelievable home made food. An absolute must if you are visiting Conwy/Snowdonia area. Amazing setting next to the bridge in Llanrwst on the way into snowdonia. Ambience is lovely 15th century building with food to die for! Cakes scones etc as well as lunches. The scones are massive and come with lashings of cream and jam. A real MUST!!
Tu Hwnt I’r Bont – Betws-Y-Coedgreat food, great service, great price. We stopped here on the way to Pwllheli having picked the Red Lion off the internet, and made our choice based on good reviews. We enjoyed the meal so much that we stopped there on the way back to Gloucester. No hesitation in recommending the Red Lion to other travellers on the A458.
Red Lion Hotel – WelshpoolBrilliant friendly restaurant / pub , lovely pub grub even better Sunday Carvery and at brilliant prices !!! this is a must be Tafarn to visit if you are visiting Porthmadog . dogs are also welcome .
Tafarn Pencai – PorthmadogVisited The Groes Inn for a two night stay and from our arrival to departure, the staff could not do enough for you. The level of service was matched by the quality of the food and the wine. We decided to eat in the bar rather than the more formal restaurant but the menu was identical with great choices of meat and fish. The fillet steak was excellent! We have not been to this area of Wales for more than a dozen years and the friendly surroundings of the Gross Inn have ensured we will be returning a lot quicker!
