Thank you for a wonderful lunch.The Turkey dinner was very tasty.The puddings were wonderful.Staff were pleasant.

Very welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff for a Sunday lunch. Booked for six adults and two children plus requested space for a pram with twin babies- all this was provided. The food was very flavourful and well presented woth nothing too much trouble. Would recommend

Good food, friendly staff. We were a large party and a bit cramped but all round a good experience. We will be going there again in the future

Fantastic Christmas Meal We had our group meal here last week and from the early contact the staff were so accommodating, even down to when we contacted them around lunchtime on the day of the meal to add another two people Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff, the lounge was very warm and welcoming as we waited for other members of our party to arrive The food was served promptly (while allowing time between courses so we didn't feel rushed), the food was lovely and this was re-iterated by many members of the party I would highly recomend Y Sgwar and hope to be able to visit again

We were treated to a fantastic meal,staff were courteous and so efficient. The restaurant was busy, but the wait between courses was minimal. Fantastic food and brilliant service. Highly recommend one of the best restaurants in the area.

Recently had a breakfast here and I have to say it was outstanding. Everything was laid out so beautifully presented. There were plenty of options and all so fresh. The full English was amazing and again presented amazingly. The coffee machine was an hit with us and we enjoyed the fresh orange juice also. I think for what you pay you really get your monies worth. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and it really felt so cosy with the fire going. Staff were outstanding and couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Thank you for helping us start the day right! My only regret is that I didn’t get to try the Sunday lunch as we had to head home early that morning. Hopefully will get to try that in the near future.

We have eaten at the Vic a number of times. We usually choose from the daily specials as they are genuinely "home cooked " dishes, a change from the usual "pub food ". Something tasty and a bit different.

Fantastic food and great value for money. Beautiful restaurant, very tastefully decorated for Christmas, and fabulous staff who are extremely pleasant and attentive. What more could you want?

First visit here and extremely pleased with the quality of the food. Nice setting and pleasant staff helped with an overall very positive experience. Have already booked a second visit nearer to Christmas for a family get together.

Nice surroundings and great food. Warm and cozy on a wet and miserable winters day. No complaints other than the time it took to pay the our bill. One more minute and we would have walked out without paying…
