Fantastic food and experience. Booked a table a couple of weeks before for our 15th anniversary, asking for the vegan menu. When we arrived we were seated promptly and explained to the vegan menu itself wasn't available but there were still most of the vegan options available, and we were told exactly what we could have. To be fair, everything apart from the tofu steak was on the menu so we were happy. I had the pesto linguine and my partner had arancini for mains. We also had tomato bruschetta starter and each had chocolate torte pudding. I can say that every dish was 10/10. So fresh, beautifully presented and full of so much flavour. Can't fault Y Sgwar at all and we'll be back sooner than later. Highly recommend. Food and service impeccable, and the atmosphere was buzzing. Booking definitely advisable.

This was our first visit to Telfords. Lovely evening. Food, drinks and service were excellent. Really good menu. We will definitely return.

The food is always great, so are the staff.

Went for the Sunday carvery. Plenty of meats to choose from with generous amount per person and with help yourself to the rest, it was superb and plentiful. Other diners were having plates piled up high with more than 1 Yorkshire pud. For me personally, I chose 1 Yorkshire pud and some (not all) of the many vegetable dishes provided, which was more than enough. Gravy was piping hot and everything was thoroughly delicious. Service was extremely good. Staff were friendly, helpful and on hand at all times. We will definitely be returning

Great wine, but most importantly outstanding fresh fish and well presented. Recommended to all I’ve spoken to in the area. Will be back.

Our second visit to Telfords Bistro was as stunning as the first. The food, ambience and service were all outstanding. Telfords celebrated Burns night with a special menu complemented with Penderyn whiskies. Based on a traditional Burns supper but with a Welsh twist each course was an example of inventive cuisine and presentation. The salmon was cured to their special recipe and just melted in your mouth. The haggis and neeps stack looked great and went perfectly with a black pudding bonbon and mash. The cream, raspberry, local honey and oats desert called Cranachan was delightful. All in all a lovely evening and I look forward to more special nights.

Our first time at Telfords on Friday evening. excellent food with pleasant and attentive staff. Our only criticisms would be the lack of ambiance, as the overall decor is very functional and not very inviting. We sat in the area illuminated by bright spotlights, not really suitable for romantic dining, but more preferable to sitting in front of the large window onto the street. Maybe something could be done with the glass, frosted maybe with the addition of some attractive planting. That said we will be back, as the food was excellent.

Staff are always so friendly and welcoming Plenty of choice of meat and veg on the carvery always hot. Desserts are a must too

We all had a lovely meal, last night. Steak pie, cottage pie, and burger, all very tasty, nothing to complain about. Always good food, good service, good atmosphere.

Superb food. Modern contemporary bistro with a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend Telfords Bistro

We had Afternoon Tea and it was wonderful. The scones in particular were freshly made, delightful and still warm. The price was also great, would highly recommend it.

Sunday lunch carvery was excellent. Best beef I have tasted of late. Good choice of vegetables and lashings of gravy. Service was very good. Plenty of diners so there was a good atmosphere. All in all very enjoyable.

We visited on a Sunday and chose the carvery. We were not disappointed. Plenty of choice with meat and vegetables. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Glad we chose here.

Sunday lunch. Have eaten here many times. Food excellent - good choice and plenty of vegetables, well cooked and hot. Service below par despite acknowledging the restaurant was very busy. New staff I think and no-one seemed to be in charge. Shown to our table by one waiter and ordered drinks which he didn't bring. Starter served by a different waitress who reordered drinks twice before they eventually arrived. Then another very efficient waitress took over our carvery and cleared away. A long wait for a dessert order brought by our original waiter. Staff need direction and a large room should be zoned so staff aren't just covering the whole room presumably at random. Will think twice before our next visit.
