Wonderful location and excellent food! The staff were so friendly and helpful, you can't fault the place. Its especially good for families because of the exciting play area.

Easy to book online. Excellent staff and friendly service. Food is always good plenty of room but can be busy in high season.

Looking for a lovely cafe lunch for the start of a day out on Anglesey. I found Green Olive, which had great reviews and a booking service. Visited with a friend who isn't Vegan. I just wanted lovely food and a nice place to be. I happen to be Vegan and it is my mantra that food should be lovely first. A big thumbs up. Lovely food regardless of being vegan or not.

Thoroughly enjoyed meal, lovely atmosphere.

We had an absolutely amazing Sunday lunch; the food was of a very high standard. However, we were also hugely impressed by the exemplary service - courteous, attentive and consistently warm and amiable We can’t wait to visit again and hopefully savour the a l carte menu on the next occasion.

We had a fantastic experience here last night. From the moment we arrived to when we left the service was amazing and the atmosphere really lovely. The food was fantastic- everything we ate was beautifully cooked and presented. We were recommended by a friend from home who said if we were ever in Porthmadog we should visit - we weren’t disappointed! We will definitely visit again.

Fantastic service from the moment we walked in, Food & service was very good no rush a decent interval between courses, altogether an enjoyable evening for my 84th birthday, will definitely book again.

Booked a table for ourselves and two friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My husband and I have burgers which were excellent and our friends have the pies. One had the chicken the others the steak pie and both said how much they enjoyed their meals. Our initial reception at the bar could of been improved upon

Best restaurant ever food great staff brilliant

The food, service and ambiance at Y Sgwar could not have been better. We celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday at this restaurant- what a golden gem of a find. The menu had a wide variety to suit all palates and all prices with the very affordable early starter menu. The staff gave an unexpected extra wow by singing Happy birthday to our daughter. Can't praise them enough!

We have been here a few times in the last 2 years. The service, food and atmosphere are always excellent .
