Had a meal here while on holiday. It was AMAZING. Service was fabulous and the food was perfect. I would highly recommend it. The price can appear a bit high but the quality is higher. Very much worth every penny

My husband and I visited for Sunday lunch . We live near Manchester and hadn’t been for quite a few years . The food, service and atmosphere was just as good as we remember it to be . Hope it won’t be as long until our next visit . Would highly recommend.

Love to visit every time we come to stay in Menai Bridge. Some of the best vegan breakfasts and lunches we’ve had. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Just wish we had a Green Olive where we live.

We have been to Y Sgwar quite a few times and every time we have been the food, service, atmosphere has been wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the food. It was presented well and was really tasty. Very nice location with a park on site. We walked our dinner off with a nearby nature walk along the riverbank.

Me and my partner arrived at Y Sgwar Tremadog on Thursday 24th August it was a night out to celebrate my birthday. On arrival we were shown to our table next to the front window very nice it was a great start to the evening. The waitress came over and took our drinks order very pleasant young lady. After about 10 minutes she tool our food order . I ordered the King scallops with belly pork my partner had the garlic mushrooms all I can say is fantastic the presentation was fabulous and it was cooked perfectly no complaints. Then after about 10 minutes the main course cameouti had the duck with dauphinous potatoes and a plum sauce and my partner had the belly pork with chorizo mash again fantastic. There was a fantastic atmosphere the staff were very professional and tended to our every need all in all a great evening and we will definitely be going back thank you for a great night.

The food which was good when we visited last year is now even better. The sharing platter has grown in size and range of nibbles and the pizzas are simply gorgeous. Loved the N'duja and Burrata one especially. Will be booking a table for when we come back in September. Service was also friendly and good

Having read the other good reviews, it is with little surprise Y Sgwar is getting another one! Upon arrival, staff were immediate to get us seated and explained the specials and menus. The halloumi salad starter, and pork and scallop starters were very well presented and tasted fantastic. Cocktails sampled were the espresso martini, apperol spritz and pink fairy (host explained history of making). All of which went down well in between, and with meals. Mains arrived (chicken, and lamb) and these were raising the bar higher as these were again delicious and well presented. Having not fully finished the mains as we were feeling a little full, there was still room for desserts (of course) and we particularly liked the brownie flavour and texture, accompanied with vanilla ice cream and sweet. Overall - really nice meal on our last evening of holiday at a restaurant in the centre of Tremadog. The staff (host and floor staff) were great, the food of great quality, drinks well made, location easy to access, and for all of this we will aim to return next time we are in the area.

Lovely food but the restaurant was far too hot! It really ruined the meal as we rushed to eat and leave. Service was fantastic and food was really tasty, just shame about the heat!

Not a very friendly welcome, the bar staff made us feel like an inconvenience to be honest. Ordered food at 8.30pm, it was not very busy. Waited 45 mins. It was ok, good pub grub. The lady that served the table was polite. The place itself is really beautiful, just let down by the unfriendly staff....

Very nice meal on Sunday evening - Thankyou! Really enjoyed the sea bream and the afogato desserts were perfect.
