We’ve been to Oscar’s many times over the years. We always get friendly service and enjoy the buzz of the place. It has an interesting layout allowing for tables with varying degrees of intimacy. The food is always well prepared and presented, good portions with a decent spread of a classic bar style dishes. It’s worth noting that if you stick to tea or coffees you can have a reasonable night out but alcoholic drinks are steeper (though, aren’t they everywhere?). The house Savvy is delightful, mind…

8 OF US THERE FOR A FAMILY BIRTHDAY AND THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT.HAD THE 8 PERSON OR MORE MENU AND IT WAS LOVELY WITH SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE ON THE MULTIPLE PLATTERS OF FOOD. WILL BE BACK.

Very disappointing service, but the food was excellent as usual once we got it ! table not ready when we got there , which was ok as busy. ordered 1st round of drinks 10 mins later took came to take our food order, not looked at menu so came back around 20-30 later , took our order for 2 drinks and meal . 1/2 later no drinks the waitress who took the order was on lunch! never wrote it down , 10mins later drinks arrived and we asked if our food had been ordered ?? NO it had not as not written down. complained again 4pm we got our food . ordered more drinks and guess what they forgot the order again - chased them out after 20mins - we left at 6pm . they covered the drinks bill so we where happy enough ;-)

Greeted by our favourite waiter, always friendly and accommodating. Really happy we booked a table for 6, it was a busy Saturday and Oscars was bustling they were even having to turn people away. Children friendly restaurant. I would definitely consider Oscars every time when we are out with the children. Food is always a happy hit. Thankyou for being accommodating everytime you see us

Consistently the BEST always

Good food at a reasonable price, things appear to have changed though - no hot burners to keep the food warm longer, no hot towels after the meal, other than that still a very good restaurant to go for a chinese meal.

Amazing food and quick service definitely 5 star quality

We haven't been since before COVID and we were look forward to coming for food, we got there 10 minutes early and our table was ready which was perfect with 2 small children! The bar was very busy so we expected food to have quite a long wait so we ordered starters to keep us going, they arrived quick and were perfect! Mains than came with not much of wait and the food was just as good as before COVID, staff were all great, all very busy but nothing was too much for them!

The food, service and atmosphere at Oscars was perfect. I have dined at Oscars on many occasions and this time was just as good as the rest. Thank you, we will be back.

Food great , service below average- they probably need a few more waiting staff. They brought our drinks but we had to chase someone down eventually to make our food order. Probably would have spent more if someone had bothered to ask if we wanted more drinks, dessert etc. They also forgot to bring one dish (was not charged though).

A lovely meet up with friends in our old stomping ground. Asked for the round table in the window as it's more private and was reserved as requested. Food was really tasty and generous portions! Staff attentative and helpful. Only thing to mention...music was abit too loud and made conversation tricky.

Started badly when I cut my finger on the savage door on the way in. I mentioned it only to be told that, yes it’s awful isn’t it, I do it all the time ;) my advice, do something about it! Got sat on table in front of the door and every time it opened it was blooming freezing, not helped by people coming in and holding it open to see if they could have a table. Asked to move and was told we couldn’t. I asked again a little later when I saw an feee table and they gave us that one which was fab albeit still not terribly warm. I wanted the Philly steak sandwich, but there was no philly………!!!! We ordered a latte but they couldn’t make it as they had no milk and “had to pop to the shop” :). A little strange to run out if things by Saturday lunch time. But, glad I couldn’t have what I wanted as what I did have (burger with bacon and Brie) was beautiful. Lovely and hot. Everyone said their food was really nice. Service good considering it was very busy. So in summary, mind the savage door when you go in, try to avoid a table near the door and ENJOY the lovely food.
