Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe had a lovely evening, great people and great food. A great place to relax after a day walking. Will be back when we come to Grasmere
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe came to La Mezzaluna for a group booking of 17 people for my daughters 18th. I'd like to thank all of the staff for accommodating us. The food was beautiful and came out piping hot altogether. The service was so friendly and attentive, despite it being an extremely busy night, nothing at all was a problem. Thanks again.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely meal, lovely lady who served, very welcoming sea bass dish just gorgeous Thank you
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe made a last minute decision to call here on our way home from a busy day in the Lakes. Great choice! A warm welcome by Lucie, and excellent service throughout. Fabulous meal for 3, beautifully cooked and presented. A lovely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We also loved it was so dog friendly too Thanks so much, we look forward to our next visit!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely lunch at The Pheasant. Always great food and service. Good value.
Pheasant Inn – Keswick5 of us had an excellent meal, starters to die for. The one downside and this is not limited to the Pheasant but most eateries in my opinion are the chips, it would be nice to have proper chip shop style chips with flavour
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWhat a find. An absolutely beautiful setting the atmosphere, food and service lived up to expectations. We enjoyed the Chicken Supreme and Roasted Cod and we just had to try the deserts. The sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake didn’t disappoint
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAfter a recommendation we booked a table for Sunday lunch. Was seated straight away. Waited 30 minutes for our meal and had to remind a staff member that we were waiting. Food was pipping hot and tasty. Would have preferred more vegetables but that’s just a personal opinion.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe booked two evenings at Lewis’s and on both occasions it was fantastic. Food and drinks were delicious, the staff attentive and friendly, the atmosphere relaxing. A return visit for us as we also visited on a previous visit to Grasmere - that was equally as good. We’ll definitely book again on our next planned visit.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAte in this restaurant on the last two Saturdays. Both occasions with visiting friends. We all enjoyed the food and drink. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Helpful throughout both nights. Best recommendation, I will definitely book again. Thanks, Arthur
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithVenison and chocolate, wow!
Horse and Farrier – PenrithLovely food, beautifully presented and served by friendly staff in a nice ambience. a great evening.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithI always enjoy coming to Dacre and eating at the Horse & Farrier. It was a special family occasion with my two sons and we had a lovely time.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithAbsolutely delicious meal at Lewis Bistro. My husband had the lamb rump and I had the chicken supreme. Both were lovely as was the lemon and raspberry cheesecake. Best meal we have had so far on our Coast to Coast walk and I doubt if we’ll have anything to beat it. Would definitely come again if we are in the area.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThe meal was lovely apart from the gammon steak, on the tough side and egg fried too hard. The prawn cocktail was best I've ever had as was garlic mushrooms and smoked black pudding bon buns. Will return. ⅞
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent as always. Best pub fish and chips ever
