Second time this year at this great restaurant. I very rarely have paella in the UK as it can be so disappointing but I thought I would give it a try. It was excellent! The Eton Mess for dessert was delicious. One of the best restaurants on the south coast. Highly recommended.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and without asking made a very special fuss of my partner. I really could not recommend this place enough. We shall definitely be returning!

The Hake was beautiful, and my Dover sole meuniere cooked to perfection. The service is delightful and it was a very welcome return for me to what must be one of the best restaurants in the whole Brighton area.

The meals were freshly prepared, well presented, and tasty. It wasn’t our first visit and won’t be our last. The staff member, who was managing the bar and food orders alone, worked incredibly hard and maintained friendly and devoted attention throughout. She deserves considerable reward for keeping the place running. The chef, who must have been operating at high pace and pressure produced commendable dishes. Well done. We look forward to joining you again soon.
The Denbigh – BexhillThis is a great pub and place to eat, we have been here a number of times. This time the food could have been better but it sort of doesn’t matter because the place is just nice to be at. Some really interesting cocktails and great choice of beers (although I just had water this time!)
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe booked here after seeing positive reviews online. Thankfully, they were pet friendly and the staff made us and our dog very welcome. Our meal was absolutely superb. I was a little worried not being a fish lover, however the tuna dish i chose was cooked to perfection. Every course was exceptional and we left having asked for the recipe of one of the items. The staff were all very attentive and the atmosphere warm. I would most definitely visit again.

The cauliflower cheese was to die for, as was the delicious gravy. The service was 10/10 too. Great value for money. We’ll be back. Macklins at The Riverside – PulboroughGood service. Two of us had the Romney marsh roast and the vegetables and potatoes were disappointing. I suspect that we got the end of day leftovers yet we ate at 7.30. Other food was lovely

The menu has many Gluten Free options which is great to see , The staff are always so helpful and attentive, they all work very hard to ensure everyone feels welcome . Wish they’d take down the partitions they put up in the pandemic- detracts from the atmosphere, and the canteen like seating on the patio is more profitable I’m sure, but as a place I used to go regularly with local chums for Sunday lunch, it’s not even on my list anymore, but I’m sure it’s far more profitable…even though the staff are all on minimum wage. Shame but unsurprising.
