Lovely pub, great meals and friendly service
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeThe Globe Marsh Inn reserved a large corner table for us on a quietish Monday lunchtime. The service was prompt, attentive and helpful. The food was good, too, especially the local Romney Marsh lamb. One area for improvement might be a children's menu
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeLovely pub, great service and good food. Our first visit but won’t be our last.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – Ryewe have just had our first sunday lunch at the Sea Dog. It was absolutely delicious, the lamb was incredible as was the chicken. So many vegetables on the plate, the leeks were out of this world. I will definitely be coming back for more, and highly recommend the Sea Dog for the welcoming staff, food, atmosphere and great value for money.
The Seadog – HastingsWe come here at least once a year for lunch on the bus from near Brighton and it is unfailingly good and the staff are very friendly. If you enjoy delicious fish dishes and have a good appetite too, do go. They have a range of menus to suit all budgets, and a good selection of wines including local English wines.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaInto the Blue in Shoreham is our absolute go-to — we find ourselves coming back time and time again. The food is consistently incredible, easily beating places we used to travel to Brighton for. Chef Dave is a big part of what makes it so special — always so welcoming and genuinely lovely, which makes every visit feel personal. We’ve celebrated some brilliant moments there, including a fantastic Christmas Eve with a group of over 20, which they handled effortlessly. Most recently, we were there for my husband’s birthday with our family of five (including our 8, 12 and 14 year olds), and it was just perfect — relaxed, delicious, and such a gorgeous evening all round. A real gem to have on our doorstep.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe enjoyed our meal at the Globe , having made the 60 min journey to re-visit this quirky restaurant in Rye . This time one of our party had developed a number of food allergies which meant a choice of food without wheat , dairy , eggs , peanuts and sesame seed !! No problem for the Globe !! I had , probably , the best mushroom soup EVER , that was allergy friendly !! Roast Lamb with veg and new pots , and a vegan and egg friendly crumble for dessert with vegan ice cream !! All excellent !! The rest of the party had the pil pil prawns for starter and sea bass and steak , all delicious!! My only criticism would be that , being a table service only restaurant , the service was pretty slow and we had to find a waitress/ waiter a few times to order .
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeA fantastic place to go! Food is great, beer is great, and the staff are great too! Dog friendly which is a bonus. We enjoy our regular boozy Saturday lunch here.
The Seadog – HastingsVery nice and tasty , always is . Service good and wine mourish . Go and enjoy . Must book
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaBooked for an evening meal and had a great time. Food excellent. Service we found a bit slow from taking orders to delivering food, especially with kids would assume them to be served first. Anyhow it is a quirky pub. Lovely setting and would return if we are again in the area.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe had the most amazing meal at Into The Blue last night. Our starters of scallops was divine, the sauce was glorious. Mains of Monk fish, "jacket potato" & spring greens was beautiful cooked And my dessert of Apple cake with caramelised apples & sauce was truly delicious. As a coeliac there's always plenty of options. All the service team always double-check with the kitchen team that my choices are completely gluten free. We've been dining at Into the Blue regularly for many years and the food is always good but last nights food was exceptional Many thanks To David, Jacqui & the team
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaLovely relaxing meal. Attentive service, Good food that is always so fresh and inviting.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaThis was our first visit and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and a little bit different to other fish restaurants we have been to. Service was just right too, friendly and informative but not intrusive. We will definable be back, especially as they will get some skate in if I give them a couple of days notice.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaDelicious and very friendly
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaHeard great things about this restaurant and decided to go spur of the moment for a mid-week lunch. We were not disappointed as the food and service were excellent. We will be back soon!
